ATOTO S8 Where Is APPLE CARPLAY?? Not Very Obvious On 10.1inch Ultra Plus

I still have to click on the car link icon to start Apple CarPlay. It never defaults to apple CarPlay the way it should.

Thank you!! Did you have any trouble getting bluetooth to work for receiving phone calls? We’re having trouble with the volume of the other person on the line being extremely quiet and not coming out of the speakers.

Have you gotten Wireless Car Play to work? Wireless Android Auto works great but I'm trying to figure out how to connect Carplay wirelessly because the S8 can do it.

It advertises wireless Apple CarPlay but when I unplug it, it’s disconnects. Is it not truly wireless? Do I have to use the plug every time for it to connect? Not sure if im missing something

I don't have this issue. I connected my phone the first time I used it but it now connects automatically and wireless every time I start my car. I don't know why yours isn't doing it. Maybe wait a few minutes after you start your car and then open the carplay app and see if it connects. On mine it will sometimes say I have to plug it in but seconds later it connects via bluetooth on its own. I never plug mine in.

Am curious if this unit has a radio or is this unit strictly mirroring the iphone?

It does have a mirroring feature but it absolutely does not just mirror the iPhone. It has its own apps and is its own system. It’s like having a tablet designed for vehicle use. Yes, it does have a radio and the old car style radio antenna you can plug into the back also. I never use the radio feature so I couldn’t tell you how well it works. I would assume it’s fine.

when u start your car, does it go automatically to apple carplay. or do you always need to press the red icon to go to apple carplay?

With mine it will continue where it was before the car was turned OFF. So if it was playing via Apple Carplay then it will run it when I start the car. No I don’t have to press anything.

Thanks still having trouble getting it to auto link everytime still have to manually connect a litte buggy but hoepfully ill figure it out
