Our Mexico City Travel Guide! This wonderful city is truly the star of one our best episodes ever.
I have never fallen in love with a city quite as quickly as I fell in love with Mexico City. The Mexican capital is everything I want in a city; sprawling, loud, exciting, creative, friendly, and absolutely delicious.
Our Mexico City guide is one of our longest episodes ever and I feel every second is justified as this city has so much to offer. The food section alone is packed full of deliciousness - don't watch on an empty stomach!
Thanks to our friends at Eastpak for helping us bring this episode to you. Visit www.eastpak.com for more.

I visited Mexico City with my wife for our honeymoon early in January of this year. I am a Muslim and she wears a hijab, we were treated with nothing short of kindness, respect and love. The Mexican people were extremely hospitable and loving. I loved their culture, their faith, and their food. Looking forward to visiting again. Love from Afghanistan.

One of the greatest cities in human history. The first metropolis to mix and merge people from every corner of the globe: the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Mexico City has an impossibly rich history for a city that is relatively young compared to European cities and its culture reflects this. The economic and media powerhouses of the United States like New York and Los Angeles may draw the world's eye, but in my opinion, neither has as much soul as Mexico City, the most impressive city in the Western hemisphere.

Ahh, Mexico lindo y querido.. Visiting Mexico was one of those dreams you don't even dare to dream for me. This dream that I thought too great and too unachievable came true last year, in August 2019. For 2 weeks we travelled from Mexico D.F. to Guanajuato, Jalisco and Quintana Roo. We used almost every way of transport imaginable and saw the immense diversity and beauty of Mexico. Mexico was all I ever dreamed of, and more.. The people there are so friendly, helpful, warm and kind, felt like home (I am from Greece btw).. I wanted to give them all a big hug! The food, the music, their impressive culture and history and all the amazing once-in-a-lifetime experiences this country has to offer made this trip the best one I've ever had and I highly doubt any other trip will come close to this one. As for its HUGE capital, CDMX is way more greener than I expected, it has beautiful diverse neighborhoods, amazing climate and so many experiences to offer that our 3-day stay there was definitely not enough! I feel blessed that I got the chance to see at least a small part of Mexico and I can't wait to return some day and explore the rest of it.

I'm from Bengaluru, a city of India, all my life the image of Mexico was negative in me, same goes with Lebanon. But your video proved all of them wrong. Trust me, videos like these you are changing people and economy of the Mexico/Lebanon in a positive way that is unimaginable. Yes and no, the perception of Mexico in the new generations, of course, but the Mexican economy not that much, although Mexico was the 4th most visited country in 2020 and 6th in 2021, the tourism only represents 7.8% of the GDP, even if we reach the top #1 in Tourism that would be 1-2% increase in the GDP. Mexico is a large economy, 13th in the world, and in 2021 Mexico became the 1st trading partner of the US. The countrie's economy is growing, We will see a lot of US manufacturers moving from China to Mexico in the coming years, since the labor is cheaper in Mexico and the geographical location is absolutelly superior.

Attache - I confess I was upset that you had not covered Mexico City and some of the other Latin giants (Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Rio). In due time I am sure. Anyhow, I have traveled from California to Mexico City five times in the last three years and it's not to see family - really, only just to spend time there. Nothing else. I have been to all the major cities in the United States and some international cities like Sydney, Lima, Rio de Janeiro, Cairo, Istanbul, etc. but my favorite remains this place. Sunday strolls on Reforma Ave. are fantastic. Finally, excellent job is dispelling these silly notions about danger. Undoubtedly, there is danger in all large cities. But the greatest danger is letting life pass you by and only reading about places and never experiencing them. Up next for me - Toronto next month and later this year, Beirut and Amman! Of course, when I say Beirut I am inevitably met with, "Why?" or "You shouldn't go!". Fantastic stuff and I further confess when I saw you finally reached Mexico City, I dropped work to watch.

Dude you nailed it! I’m from Mexico City and I’ve been living abroad for nearly 5 years. People often ask me what to I miss the most? I always start with the food but in reality is the people, their carisma, their creativity and their untiring love for life despite the obvious adversities of a megalopolis. Do your homework and do not miss the opportunity to experience the oldest and largest city in the American Continent!

What a great pitch for Ciudad de Mexico! Everything you shared was spot on. But it is literally the tip of the iceberg. This city and the Mexican culture, in general, is one of the most complex civilizations in the world. And, in my humble estimation, they have the most extraordinary cuisine I have ever experienced. But, don't forget about the many amazing museums and politically significant sites throughout this city, as well as archeological sites nearby. The Museo Nacional de Antropologia is the most amazing museum I have ever been to. And that includes the Smithsonian complex. You can easily spend a day there and feel short-changed for time! I am a gringo who has worked and lived in Puebla Mx for the past two and a half years, which is a little over a 2-1/2 hour bus ride southeast of CDMX. The Mexican culture far outdates the green United States. Come visit. Come see how empires rise and have fallen. It is a good lesson for us gringos in these strange days of Democracy-challenged. Perhaps we can learn from Mexican humility and simplicity? But, do be aware of the kidnappings. Since the government cracked down on the stealing of gasoline from the pipelines, the criminal element has resorted to kidnapping throughout many areas of the country.
