ATTEMPTING DIY PAINT REPAIR MY MYSTICHROME MUSTANG WAS A HUGE FAIL! PART 1

I used sonic blue touch up paint and spray paint, I only sanded the big areas.. Definitely wouldn’t sand the rock chips, I have a short posted of the before and after… I would say it came out a 9 out of 10, imperceptible to anyone except for me because I did the work..

That’s awesome, have another paint touch up kit on order called dr color chip to my surprise they actually had mystichrome as a color available will make a video once it comes in. Then it’s just paint correction and ceramic coating!

Mystichrome needs a dark grey or black base to be sprayed on top of, you might get away with glazing putty to fill in the spots then sand smooth then spray the base and then color and clear and wet sand and polish afterwards but with how much trouble you'll go through with that many spots you might be better off repainting the whole car just depends on how good of a repair you want to do and most likely a shop will probably say you just need to repaint the whole car

Do you still have the truck? Any long term issues running your hot MPT tunes? Trying to decide if I should go for an e30 or e50 tune. Love the 91 PRX already.

I sold it recently actually, this terminator is now my daily driver I was getting the itch for a manual… the truck ran great the whole time no issues whatsoever. I would just go e50 since it’s more power over e30 and you are gonna be mixing fuels anyways, send it!

The car just needs a repaint. Which is fine because its clearly a driver not a collector at this point
