actually this is proof danny carey needs to be on danny careys kit to sound like danny carey. danny fucked up like a whole bunch of times which is clearly because his kit setup is like an extension of his playing, so putting him on this kit which is drastically different to what he's used to was really screwing him up. that and the fact he couldn't hammer the drums like a sledgehammer and a lot of danny's speed and accuracy comes from his power

Danny obviously loves playing w/ these super talented kids, and I love to see that. Frankly, a lot of ADULT players couldn't nail the time signature on this tune. That bass player "gets" it. You can tell by her natural movements and how much shes enjoying herself that she is a bass player for life. A lot of teens will lose interest or kinda peeter off but i really think she has music in her blood. .... And the smile that Danny has the whole time is so cool and priceless.

According to a comment under the other video of this cover, Danny later came to the band's drummer, talked to him for a while and gave him a signed pair of his own sticks and a signed bass drum or something like that. I think he wanted to make sure nobody gets cut out and having fun together as musicians.

What a great moment for all! I heard a story told that back in early 90's when Tool was unknown but opening for Henry Rawlins a new fan showed up to the concert but tix were sold out. The fan ran into a guy and the guy was Danny Carey who found out the fans plight. Instantly pulled the fan into the club, he and his friend have been Tool fans ever since! Looks like Danny is still the same guy playing his heart out with this skilled band with a huge smile on his face!

Carey's videos. EVERY single Vid. He is polite, mild tempered . And what really caught me was . Voting for him as the best drummer. WOW. He's so mellow and chill. But he is clound with being HUMBLE. Great gentleman all around. I've seen him use every part of his kit / symbols. He truly is blessed with the best Drumming style I've ever seen. He can make his kit obey.. Going to their show. There is so much more going on. Mr Carey is adding art work to each song that make him stick out. He takes you on a Tool Journey as the rest of the Band. So Mr Danny Carey fully deserves my vote as. The best drummer or metal drummer. Good man Danny. You deserve. 👍🏽
