Audacity 3.1 - No Time Slider button - Whats new- New Version - Audacity Tutorial
In this tutorial, I show some of the best new features in Audacity's new 3.1 release. No time slider tool because we don't need it. We can now easily move tracks around by clicking and dragging. I also show new features like time loop.

EQ Download Link and Import Instructions - (Must Have Version 2.4.1 or Newer)
1. In Filter Curve EQ or Graphic EQ" click the Manage button
2. From the dropdown menu click Import...
3. Select your Josh Meyer EQ TXT file and click on Open
(Your curve will then be imported and will be ready for use.)
4. Click Manage
5. Click Save
6. Save as Josh Meyer's Male EQ

-Install a plugin
Windows-
To Install a plugin you'll need to double click your hard drive *Windows (C:)*,
double click program files (x86), double click Audacity, double click Plugins,
then click drag and drop the plugin into the plugin folder.
When you reopen audacity, go to effects and select add/remove plugins. Find the desired Plugin,
click to highlight, click enable, then click OK :)- You will be able to find it in Effects.
Mac-
Click drag and drop the plugin into Audacity's "Plug-Ins" folder at ~/Library/Application Support/audacity/Plug-Ins.

Switch to the Finder. Click on the Go Menu.
Press and hold down the Option key on the keyboard.
From the Go menu, select Library, The Library folder will open.
Click Application Support, then audacity, then Plug-Ins.Drop the plugin into the folder.
When you reopen audacity, go to effects and select add/remove plugins. Find the desired Plugin,
click to highlight, click enable, then click OK.

Thx Josh. I came across a problem just now. When recording my VO, the marker disappears after a few seconds of recording and I no longer see the wave. In playback I see the marker and again the same thing happens. What could be the problem?

I learnt a lot from u, i always use your videos for references, however I wish your videos got straight to the point instead of starting with explaining your history and asking for likes which sometimes takes nearly half the video. I would personally prefer if your videos were short as possible and without you explaining your accolades, u could put that in the channel trailer. Anyways, thanks for the help

You have the Sync Lock engaged. It is under the Tracks menu.

Hi Josh, I think it's better to talk about each Tool separately - why? there is another user looking for "No Time Slider Button" and another use looking "Loop back" button - if you separate the two buttons each in one video then it makes things easier - even if it's a 1 minute video as long as a user gets exactly what they are looking for. now in this video the title says "No slider button" and doesnt show any title with "loop back button" - for you it might seem obvious but to many out there it's not my dear - thanks

Well, these are interesting new features - but there is a lot of information that the newer versions of Audacity are spying on a lot ... For now, I'm sticking to version 2.4.2. What is your opinion on the problem? Chris
