Torque for the bolts holding the coolant (plastic) piping - 5nm Torque for the bolts holding the intercooler core in - 10nm For anyone wondering.

Excellent video! For 3.0T owners like us, I'm beginning to feel like having a spare set of intercooler cores is a necessity. How about doing a supercharger oil service at the same time? Could be a cool video if you haven't done that before :)

Not a bad idea to do, just be very careful you don't under/overfill the oil.

do you happen to know the part number for the pipe that connects the supercharger intercooler cores in the front and the part number to the bolts? went to do intercooler cores and previous owner must have stripped the screws out and i had to extract 3 of the 6

Typical symptoms are: -loosing coolant -misfires on cylinders 3 & 6 with an EPC light

Are these cores also referred to as bricks?

Water/coolant is running through them. When they fail they leak water/coolant directly into the combustion chamber which causes a misfire

Are these a maintenance item? Are you supposed to change them after a while on a tune, or just when you start to see problems

Usually just when you see problems. But if you are over 100k on original cores it isn't a bad idea to do it as preventative maintenance

only reason I'm asking is cause in a lot of the thumbnails and pics the intercooler cores look burnt and unappealing and I'm worried mine looks like that and is underperforming

Yep. A lot of that color is oil vapor pulled in from the stock pcv as well

What is the interval for changing the oil in the charger btw ?

No interval for supercharger oil change. But if you have the supercharger off and your car has some miles on it, probably a good idea to change the oil.
