Mint video mate, very helpful. My 2.0 tdi b7 is struggling to start when it’s cold, starts very easy when it’s warm but when I come out to it in the morning it struggles to start. It’s got a brand new battery, which hasn’t sorted the problem, I’m thinking this is glow plug related? any advice would be ideal. I was wondering if the reason this car was being worked on was because a similar issue I’ve been experiencing?

Thanks! Yeah it was tbh , really the glow plugs is the best place to start for poor cold start .. not common but a faulty temp sensor can also cause start img issues

This was a BLB , I think there's still a choice, a parts supplier will usually be able to narrow it down for you as im not 100% sure mate

Does the car show a fault/engine management light of the glow plugs are faulty or is it a case of changing them every ??,000 miles? Mine has done 165k and I don’t think the glow plugs have ever been changed.

They don’t usually throw up a fault but will show in the engine ecu , best to just check them if you have an issue

need too do this in my a4, but kinda scared cause they been there at least for 4 years. Do you think they probably snap? or cause they been in oil they are a litlle lubrificated? thank you for the helop

tbh as they sit in the oil there not usually a problem at all, ive never snapped one yet 👍

My dpf been smashed out, now my dpf light keeps coming back on after remap. Taken 1 of the sensors off and went off for 5 months now the dpf lights back on. Any ideas please Hurd it can be glow plugs as it won’t start in cold weather at all!

Really couldn’t say without looking mate! Could be numerous things.. you’d need to get the fault codes read to start with

Is it a big job to take injectors out and clean them and put them back in how many hour job will it be at a garage thanks

It's same car as yours a4 b7

they would be to be sent to an injector specialist.. about 1hour to get them out & an hour to refit @@abdulbeany1894

@@deathstrouke3943 the wiring harness is tied in with the injector loom and can go quite brittle .. unless it’s sumet to do with thwt
