Thanks for the video ❤ Yesterday , i was picking up my kid from school, and as I I started the engine, suddenly, the staring wheel was so hard to stear. Pop up the hood, guess what? 😂 the serpent belt was gone, and I found half of the belt hanging on the regulator. I'm replacing it tomorrow morning. I just want to say folks check your serpentine belt ofen, especially when you're planning to drive outside the city.

When Naptown Tuner’s belt broke, he deliberately let it go and he started with a junkyard engine he was willing to use for demonstration purposes. It’s always a good idea to inspect the belt with a flashlight every oil change and given the cost of the part, it’s worthwhile to replace every 100,000 miles. Seeing how much belt ended up in his engine demonstrates the design problems due to narrow clearances. Very scary but he kept on driving for another 12 miles when the average person would hopefully call a tow truck.

New to your channel. Cheers for the info. It matched my engine. Others out there seemed to be different.

I’m replacing my belt tensioner and idler pulley (I’m pretty sure it’s slightly seized. Already replaced OAP). Did you have any recommendations for this? Was hoping to do this without having to remove anything but the belt.

Yep there was nothing wrong with it but after I watched @NaptownTuner have his belt sucked into the crank case I was like whoa!

great video, subscribed. Do you have a manual, or did you just found a good picture? If you do have it can you tell where did you find it

Hi, thanks for the video. Was the old belt stretched much... and do you really need the extended socket handle tool or can you just use a breaker bar? Thx much!
@CarsandCoding2 жыл бұрын
You don’t really need the tool, but it helps. I did not see any issue with the old belt. But it was original and you just can’t trust belts after 95k miles!

Hello I have an Audi 2009 a4 trying to change idler pulley but I don’t know the bolt size I think it’s t35 if anyone is sure? T30 was close but not grippy enough and t40 is to big
