I was dealing with this also , I ended up stuffing microfiber towels in there , and so far it sounds alot better. I stuffed them from the opening that it has towards the middle from the trunk opening. I found out that it was vibrating from the left side passenger rear the most so that's where I stuffed about 3 of em . Did this to avoid opening up anything. Sometimes stuff doesn't go back on as they should . Fragile plastics break like on the video 😐

Hi, so does this considered as a mechanical issue?
@mattiaalesi71293 жыл бұрын
You know, cars age so creaks may arise. This video is useful, besides all, if you want to know how to dismount the back panel for changing the subwoofer with a custom one. If you're asking, Audi will not fix this "problem" for free as it's not a mechanical problem.

I’ve got the same issue with my sq5, left side rear it’s worse in colder temperatures

good tutorial man! Has there been anymore rattling? I have noticed that temprature also has an affect on it. When its cold it gets worse
@xozart97854 жыл бұрын
Yeah, mine started to rattle again... i suppose when it's cold, materials tend to shrink, those creating bigger gaps between materials, and bigger rattles

@@xozart9785 same issues. Only solution that worked: after removing the cover, don't only treat the plastic parts of the lid but also mount dampening mats on both sides of the metal where the sub is mounted. totally new experience. And when you're at it, replace that shitty B&O wanna be sub with a 10" rockford fosgate prime. close to perfect fit. check out that german dude who did that with his a5 too. I just copied his work last month. it's like an entire new sound system. crazy performance, no additional amp or anything

Oof, you have to use interior trim tools. They will give before the plastic does.

How to fix the rest of the entire car from rattling?
@carlosschein92833 жыл бұрын
My rattle is coming from the housing itself. Any solutions?
@xozart97853 жыл бұрын
The speaker housing? If so, your speaker is probably cracked, will need a replace

The rear deck is slapping against the rear subwoofer bracket. You'll have to reinforce it. Fill the void with some foam tape and run a bolt thru both the rear deck and the rear subwoofer bracket.

I think you just fixed the rattle bc the speaker casing was just removed? Did it sound the same once you replace the grill?
@xozart97852 жыл бұрын
The rattle was still gone after replacing the grill 👍
