You're welcome. I respect the hell out of what you guys are doing. I love wrenching but I was really unsure about doing my clutch myself so I got a shop to do it. I decided to go with the JHM clutch kit (RS4 clutch with light weight flywheel). Yeah, I'm apart of the group and I'm also a member of SDAC. I live in SD.

Can you use original vr6 flywheel with s4 or a4 clutch disc? Stock power levels setup...

How many daily driver miles do you expect to get out of the Tilton clutches? I have the Spec mini twin for my 1.8t and it lasted about 6000 miles before I had to get replacement parts for it. I hear the carbon disc clutches can handle slippage very well so they feel like stock clutches but only last around 15000 daily driver miles.

userpike We don’t know yet about the Carbon clutch Tilton Twin as we just installed it on the 24v B5 and won’t get the car back from fab shop until feb, hopefully it lasts a decent amount but we are going to be throwing a lot of boost and abuse at it. So we’ll see and report back for sure, we put 3k miles on the Tilton cerametallic twin and no issues, Stavro is going to be inheriting that setup when his car comes together in January so we’ll see how much more abuse it will take and report back as well.

856XerXes No sir, while the setups we have are from them, Mike Hood, a vendor who advertises on the Audi Performance Classifieds group on Facebook now offers them in steel. He’s based in the US as well.

What is the need for vr5 starter im starting a 24v build soon but i hate to say it budget as possible and im looking in to flywheels and clutches i only want 400 bhp and will use a single disc set up is it possible to use a 12v flywheel on 6 speed 4 motion box if i use vr5 starter is what im hoping your reply will be lol . Love your vids by the way.

Martin Meaney u fortunately you need to use a longitude swap flywheel . 12v flywheel won’t work .

Oh ok i get you so basically the longitudal flywheel the clutch sits closer to gear box am i right in thinking the clutch as long as 240mm 23 spline will fit ie 1.9 tdi and 1.8t will fit both vr6 12v aswel as 24v ? Thankyou for your help .

It may work I’ve never tried it . Unfortunately I don’t have a spare motor to test that theory . Try it and let us know how it works out . Thank you

Man, I really wish you would have stated torque ratings instead of just say high and low horsepower and such. What's the estimated horespower they are each supposed to hold???

Fireball9298 you bring up a good point. The single disk is rated for 700ftlbs, twin cerametallic for 900, and the Carbon will hold 1200

16vastraturbo No sir, the single and the cerametallic Tilton twin don’t chatter at idle, and we haven’t run the Carbon yet so we will definitely report back how the Carbon twin from Tilton holds up and feels, including letting you guys know if it chatters

16vastraturbo going to be running the Setup on the right. Tilton Twin Carbon to Carbon with 034s custom flywheel

16vastraturbo and we never dyno’d on the first setup, just had computer estimates so I don’t want to claim them. But we will be hitting the dyno on gen2
