I just bought one of these and I luv it it's more powerful than one thinks and it don't take up any space I'm pushing one 12" nvx n series d2 in a custom downfire box ported and it is unreal the sound and bass it pushes out I'm glad u reviewed this Amp now I know how much power it makes thank you so much keep up the great vids

Back in the day (past late 80's-early 90's virtually no one had an amp that would come close to that level of performance. I still don't have near that in my truck. Power - Buck ratio is pretty good with that sub amp. Thanks for the straight up video 👍👍👍. 73 Earnest k5ewm.

@@stereomojo true indeed, I started off with 25 watts per channel bridged out on a low 2 ohm impedance with a 12" dual vc sub with 4 ohm coils. I put a switch to break circuit to one side vc to operate in 4 ohm impedance normal. But when I wanted to jam out for very brief time period, flip the switch and make that cone move. LoL of course it helps to build that sealed small box bigger and add Polly fill and make absolutely certain the box is absolutely air tight no leaks at all. I had a blast but that poor amp caught hell. LoL. 73 Earnest k5ewm.

Perfect review! I've got a small 8" setup and ideally I need 250w RMS at 4 ohm. This seems perfect. Later if I finally decide to give up my back jump seat in my truck I can go with a 1 or 2 ohm and keep the same amp.

Afternoon Joe, man this heat is nuts. It was 113 degrees in Sacramento yesterday when I got a call from my oldest son that there was an issue with his HVAC unit in his house. 97 degree inside temp I crawled into the furnace room and changed out the blower motor that went over temp and failed. Being an automotive diagnostician did not persuade me from using my skills on an AC application, lol. Lent him my loaner car to do his job doing Door Dash because the air conditioner is better and gets more mpg than a 94 Toyota T100. Thinking he could use an audio upgrade for sure and since I have the 2 Diamond Audio 12's, he could use this amp to run them. I already have the WA-2K for my build whenever that happens. Be cool if I could surprise him with a little audio upgrade. Btw, all labor and parts were out of my pocket for his HVAC repairs. Techs are weeks out due to the heatwave here and I knew enough to diag and repair. Total repair bill $259.11. Find that price anywhere. Love the content brother, keep it going!

Solid little Amp the 1000 is the same way, will make some power as well. EVL will start the Trend to mid range Premium Subwoofers from Skar.

@stereomojo I typically look at it this way and you probably do as well. If it's a stamped steel basket, it is a Budget or entry level subwoofer. If it has a nicely constructed Aluminum Basket it is not entry level, it would be Mid-Tier. If it costs more than $499 each reputable brand and high power handling I'd consider it to be premium. If its over $999.99 I would call it Competition Subwoofer, not something that a Normal individual will go out and Buy. You'll find that a biggest Majority of sales happens between the $200 mark and $600 for most any car audio Item.

Not a bad little amp and stock electrical friendly. I see the SDRs as entry level as well. I have had those and SVRs and I liked the SVRs quite a bit better. The SVRs I ran took some serious abuse and were still working when I pulled them after about 3 years. I believe that the flat rate boxes cover Alaska and Hawaii. I used to buy from a merchant in HI and always received my stuff in the flat rate box. Not sure other than that.

Hello ive got thus same amp and love it just wondering would this be to much power for a single 8" nvx nsw dual 2 ohm the new one v3 400w rms I know this Amp puts our over 500 watts at 1 ohm just wondering if I should get the dual 4ohm or dual 2ohm and just dial down the gain asking you cause you know what your doing when it comes to car audio thank you and keep up the great videos

No too much power at all. This is about 350 at 2 ohm. I'm going to put the ZE 1000.1 amp that's twice as big on a Skar 10-inch loaded box that's only 400w RMS rated continuous rms.

Another comment for the algorithm. Looking at the guts, I don't see anything special. It's half bridge Class D. No input filtering which is typical of cheap amps. So it might put a little noise into the cars electrical system. It's not always noticeable, though. It looks like that PCB was made specifically for that company, which is a good thing. It made a little more than its rated power so they probably Dyno tested this model before writing up the manuals. That's a good sign The heavier components look to be glued down pretty well. I don't see a reverse polarity protection diode. Overall, it looks like your typical entry level amplifier. Nothing special, but will probably get the job done.
