The principle of the officer being proven wrong is about the only thing that will carry any weight with them. Well done AB, the law needs to change so that when officers abuse their powers, like they did with you, the litigation should be against the officer personally, not the chief constable. When they have to pay out of their own pockets, and lose their jobs and homes, they might learn a lesson.
