Just come across your vids Paul and very impressed, I’ve just got the Trangia 27 hard anodised, looking forward to using it, I’m also from south east England and know the difficulty wild camping, keep up the good work!

@@PaulBissekerBushcraft i bought the esbit gel fuel adaptor trangia make and it is a fantastic accessory which give it two more fuels to use if you cant find meths and they both work brilliantly
@PaulBissekerBushcraft5 жыл бұрын
@@MrSilver261 I will have to look at that. Thanks for sharing :)
i have one and used it it works great with the trangia cos of the wind shield upper and lower and its lightweight you could use instead of the trangia meths burner but i bring it incase i cant find meths and it is quicker than the meths but i do prefer the standard meths burner

Is the gas adapter really that much better than the ethanol burner? I've been debating for years whether or not to do that w/ my Trangia 25. I'm perfectly happy with ethanol, I just wonder what I've been missing.

Davey Bernard The difference is speed. Gas is a lot quicker to boil water and control the temperature when simmering.

@PaulBissekerBushcraft7 жыл бұрын
Yes the underblanket is good. You don't feel any cold under you.

How long do you get with that size of gas bottle?
@PaulBissekerBushcraft6 жыл бұрын
I have never timed my gas usage, the wind and temperature will make a difference in how long you can get out of one.
@austinyoung40206 жыл бұрын
Thanks Paul,I have different size gas cans but just got these small ones as they are a bit lighter to carry.
@geraldross51805 жыл бұрын
Paul I don’t know if you are aware but you probably are, that there is an adapter to use the 1 lb. bottles instead of the expensive Coleman bottles. Works great on the knock off adjustable gas burner. Also comes from China of course. LOL
@PaulBissekerBushcraft5 жыл бұрын
Yes i know about the adapter. I carry the small gas cans because they are easy to pack as they are small. I refill them from the larger cans :)

I think he said he wasn’t putting it up too high as he has seen them getting melted, not that his was melting.
