For anyone wondering why 'its only 6dB quieter'''; decibels are exponential, so that still means in terms of decibel its about 50% quieter than before. Gains :D

I think you guys have done really well. The 3dB drop you are getting is half the noise (power) has been eliminated. The other thing to consider is that the "noise" we perceive and bothers us is a smaller part of the spectrum than the sound level meter registers. You want some noise like the rumble of the exhaust, the sound of the engine and the suspension because if it changes, you know there is something to fix long before it becomes a deep pain in the wallet. Perhaps the roof and the firewall someday, but see how you go before you bight off more than you want or need to chew. Again, great job, good choice and a great video too!

Great video my pal. I've always been a fan of such stuff. Just a tip to you to consider. I found out that the best sound deadener in the world comes from the Junk yard :) I went to my local junk yard and asked for the factory sound proofing + carpet of a Mercedes S class. You buy it and trim it to the size of your car, then boom you have the luxuries of a German car.

Hey fellas. if you do under the gearsticks boot it will make a ridiculous amout of difference in how quiet it is, i sound deadened my whole cab and until i did that tunnel section it wasnt anywhere near as quiet as it is now. i did a layer of sound deadening, 3mm rubber and then the acoustic liner and screwed it back down. 100% reccomend for any patrol alot of sound comes from there keep up the content!
@vikassm3 ай бұрын
Primary Benefit: Lower average noise levels. Secondary Benefits: 1. Far better external noise control in traffic. (Better Isolation) 2. Much better in the rain, similarly on dirt roads. 3. Reduced Vibrations! Far fewer squeaks, creaks & rattles. While its "Only" 6dB quiter on average, There are numerous benefits which are NOT captured with a sound meter alone. Great video, Fun to watch you guys work :D Only feedback: One could get away with a lot less material for 95% of the benefits. Covering every square inch of material is somewhat counter productive to the concept of "Damping" out certain frequencies (Such as 'droning' noise at the peak torque RPM.)

A quick hint when cleaning something, don’t dip the cleaning tool back in to dirty liquid already in the bucket, then use the tool again on what you’re cleaning. Have a 2nd bucket of clean liquid to dip the brush or sponge in to before you start cleaning again. 👍🏻🇦🇺

The roof is literally naked under it's covering. The inner side of the doors, the inner side of the dashboard and the firewall are still naked too. After you've done this all you finally can hear what is also rattling or squieking or humming. ʎuɐɯɹǝ⅁ ɯoɹɟ sƃuıʇǝǝɹ⅁
