Man the quality on this video is unreal. Those cars look so good. So happy to be able to watch these old races whenever I want.

I havent watched any of what used to be the Winston Cup series in 10 years; live off of KZbin's collection of classic racing and this particular race is the best Ive seen... thanks for the upload: YOU ROCK!

I started watching this with every intention of watching the start and skipping to the finish, but here I am, 3 hours later watching a 40 year old race to the finish.🏁😃🏁😃🏁😃

Wow. This is like HD for 1985. Great job encoding!

I wouldn't say that I "encode" the footage; I used a recording device to record the race.

I was thinking the same thing 🤙 I would like to take my magic carpet & turn the time machine dial to 1985 & a cooler full of Canadian Beer🍺 because i’m not interested in drinking watered down beer & using a catheter lol so i’ll bring a few cases of Molson Canadian Beer 🍻& meet some smoking hot American 🇺🇸 woman lol. … Cheers from 🇨🇦

Love the old asphalt racing at Bristol and these cars. Great racing & cars getting sideways in the corners.

Going to radial tires inn1989 was awful for NASCAR and stock car racing in general. You actually could man handle and wheel these cars even if the car setup wasn’t the greatest

It was more about talent and not all about car setup

Closest thing to this kind of racing today is the World of Outlaws Late Models or the Lucas Oil Late Models. Dirt is taking over the racing scene.

Love to see the gorgeous racecars of this era. Also prefer the asphalt surface back then and remember the spark shows as they went thru the turns some years.

To see Earnhardt and DW race that hard and clean was fun to watch. That just shows the respect they had for each other. Dale raced Darrell hard and fair. Then, the following year, Richmond would happen.

This was what I grew up watching Nascar, l am the very same age that Earnhardt would have been today, and I truly believe that Earnhardt would have the same views as Tony Stewart has with Nascar, it's has become to much political and controversial for the average drivers 😊

He had an ill handling race car. But it’s freaking Dale Earnhardt so that’s just a minor inconvenience.

Political correctness is the least of NASCARs problems. The moderators always where very neutral on air. Everything else is the problem, they took everything from the sport that made it well beloved in the first place.

I know! Diversity is awful! It was better when fans were stereotyped as racist rednecks. The culture is much more inclusive but the racing is nowhere close to being this good.
