I love Scott Gorham. I talked to him on the phone. True Gentleman

One of my guitar heroes when I picked up a guitar in 1978 and decided on Gibson Les Paul due to that heavy sound they had. Cool dude...looks like an old Dutch sea captain now, and he still play great live.

What makes Scott Gorham "underrated"? Please elaborate.

@@FrozenHero2010 For me he writes the most melodic and tasteful solo's and deserves a bit more recognition than he gets.
@FrozenHero2010 Жыл бұрын
@@stuff_n_tings6885 He was the sound of Thin Lizzy. He doesn't have to be Hendrix to be recognised.
@stuff_n_tings6885 Жыл бұрын
@@FrozenHero2010 I'm not saying he does, I agree with you that he was the sound of Thin Lizzy but from my experience everybody talks about Moore or Robertson when referring to Lizzy guitarists (who are obviously outstanding) but I just think he could get more props, that's all.

My Belief is there is a reason why we do what we do and why we meet certain people and obviously you were meant to meet Phil and that is awesome because you guys changed the Musical direction back then and didnt sell out to disco and I loved the band for that ,back in those days we all were scared that the Music as we knew it had almost met its end almost like now , im sure there are some young guys that will bring it all back ,I grew up in the best years imaginable ,God Bless you Scott your a little older but keep the music alive as long as you can because Phil is looking down with a huge grin !!!1 RIP Phil we all miss you so much brother

Scott has always been one of my guitar “heroes”, as is Brian Robertson. I’ve been a fan of the band since I first heard The Boys Are Back In Town back in the 70’s. I remember buying Live And Dangerous when it came out in 78. I just got the 8 cd reissue of it the other day and it’s utterly amazing! All the best and have a great holiday season! Cheers!

No, not at all. You're dealing here with someone who's pretty comfortable in their own skin and is probably more than aware that white and grey are just two colours; nothing more. And it also works for women: look at Emmylou Harris and Judy Collins. Of course in all three cases being exceptionally good looking in the first place does help somewhat.
