Autel MaxiScan MS309 OBD Code Reader Review-Car Scanner

This is a review of the Autel MaxiScan MS309 OBD Code Reader. It is a simple car scanner that has many different functions. You can use it to simply scan your car for codes and erase those codes, or you can use it for it's more advanced features. It also has freeze frame data which can be very useful for looking in depth at some of the problems that you may be experiencing with your car. Overall, it is a great car scanner.

people has to know this is not professional version of code readers and the garage workers calling its like "baby" reader... why? this type of reader does not show all errors

July 2021. I just bought my 3rd Autel MaxiScan MS309 OBD2 (2 for gifts). My first purchase was 3-1/2 years ago. It's truly worth it's weight in gold, not just for giving the Code for a malfunction light, but for erasing a Code when necessary. E.g., We had a 1457 code on a Honda Civic for 3 years, trying variously to repair some of the several possibilites that can cause the code. I didn't want to spend mucho $$ for a 17 year old car. But the day before an annual inspection, I used the Code reader to erase the MIS code, and drove the car 20 miles (which was enough, on this car at least) to reset the monitors), and successfully passed the annual inspection each year. (if you drive in for a NY inspection with a MIS code, you won't get out with a "pass" without spending BIG BUCKS!). On a newer Accord, we now have an MIS light, and of course I know the code, but like with the older Civic, I also realized that with these two codes the car likely will just keep on running. True, the Honda Manual or a mechanic might say, "Oh, you better fix THAT code right away (or something bad - safety or mechanical wise) will happen. Scare you to death. That might happen, but not in my experience. You'll have to make your own judgments. The MaxiScan should help you.
