Fish sauce is slightly salty with a stronger fishy taste, while tuna fish sauce has a richer and sweeter flavor. That's why fish sauce is commonly used in making kimchi, stews, and soups. Tuna fish sauce works well in clean dishes, light soups, and seasoned vegetable dishes. If you don't have tuna fish sauce when making cucumber cold soup, you can simply use regular fish sauce because the vinegar will neutralize the fishy taste. Thank you for the great question!
