Greetings from the hills of Tennessee. I have a suggestion. Next time you plant mint, first plant in side a clay pot. Cover with soil as usual. Than take pot and plant in the garden, making sure to cover the clay pot completely. If any of the pot is sticking above ground, it will act as a wick and dry your plants out. By using the clay pot, it acts as a barrier and keeps the mint from bolting and spreading for years. I love your channel.

This would be stellar as a starter at a barbeque! Skewers of shrimp, St. Louis style ribs with a peach or strawberry sauce, cold coleslaw with poppyseeds, lemon pie... mmmm

Just a suggestion from a fan in Charleston, SC: add a heaping tablespoon of fresh, chilled crab meat to the center of the soup, then add the garnish.😋😋. Thanks so much for the recipe!

I live in Florida. We always have cucumber soup in the refrigerator. We use a funnel to pour and fill an empty 1 liter plastic coke cola bottle. We couldn't live without it. Weather here is in the 90's 10 months out of the year.

This soup is wonderful. I made it yesterday so easy and delicious. The mint and Greek yogurt are a great pairing with the cucumbers. I used silver slicer cucumbers from my garden seeded and peeled them. I will definitely be making this again this summer and keeping the recipe to make every summer when mint , jalapeño and cucumbers are ready to be harvested. Thanks for this great recipe!

Just tried this recipe tonight, and I think I’m in love with cold cucumber soup now! I’d tried it once before but it wasn’t nearly as sophisticated a flavour, with none of the herbs etc in this one. Thought I’d never like chilled soups in general after similar experiences with inferior gazpacho etc. Now I want to try more like this! Thanks for sharing this simple yet delightful soup recipe!

Hi Kevin, It's "Prime Days" on Amazon, 7/11+7/12, and I just ordered the same model blender that you have...it is costing about 409.00 including tax. The regular price is 629. Plus change, so I think I did well. It comes with some sort of booklet...which I HOPE will be an owners manual of "how to", which I dearly need, or I'll never figure out how to work this beautiful machine. From watching you, I see a little of how things work..BUT I need a manual. It will arrive on July 14...Bastille Day♡♡♡♡ and I'm so looking forward to it...first thing...cucumber soup with dill be c ause I like dill much more than mint...and be c ause of you..I WILL remember the olive oil♡

@@gloriarangott8803 yes it would! Only one problem: I'm allergic to shell fish! But when I could eat it, I loved it. This came on suddenly, as allergies can. Have a great weekend. It's hot here so this cucumber soup is on my menu for the weekend!

Hi Geraldine - Here's what Emily Post says: Cream soups and bouillon do not require a spoon when served in a 2-handled "Bouillon Cup." Just lift by both handles and...sip away!
