The while feeling like a 12 year old 30 year old thing hit hard. I always find myself looking for an adult in situations and then realizing I'm an adult and then getting instantly exhausted.

Yeah Im wondering if this is a generational social thing or if this is just my neurodivergence

music_professor_z made me cry. It's crazy how people aren't willing to recognize how hard organization impacts us. I've had so many meltdowns over the same situation he's describing.

Yeah it's really tough. And it's even harder when you don't know their meltdowns! I'm glad you found some solidarity here but hopefully as more people become educated this won't happen to you as often.

Very interesting. I appreciate all these being put in once place, but the audio/video sync issue that happens later in the video is jarring and makes it hard for me to get through the end. No hate, just letting it be known there is an issue there.

Naltrexone side effects: This medicine may increase thoughts of suicide. Tell your doctor right away if you start to feel more depressed. Also tell your doctor right away if you have thoughts about hurting yourself. Report any unusual thoughts or behaviors that trouble you, especially if they are new or get worse quickly. Make sure your caregiver knows if you feel tired all the time, sleep a lot more or a lot less than usual, feel hopeless or helpless, or if you have trouble sleeping, get upset easily, have a big increase in energy, or start to act reckless. Also tell your doctor if you have sudden or strong feelings, such as feeling nervous, angry, restless, violent, or scared. Source: website of mayo clinic.

Most anti depressants have this warning too. People who have mental illness that isn't adequately treated are also at risk or suicide. So taking med a risk worth taking for people. Usually it's only up to the age of 25 too

autism and rumination @ 07:43 ... that resonates with me so deeply... I had a similar issue... Mindfulness mediation really helps for me and I would recommend it to anyone on the spectrum finding it hard to move past a broken friendship/relationship...

Same... Journaling also does wonders. Somehow once I put the words or the drawing on paper it's like I can observe it from the outside instead of being stuck in it. I'm detached in a non dissociative way. This helps a lot with letting go (which has always been my biggest challenge mental health-wise).

That's not why fibromyalgia happens...it's likely autoimmune, which is very important. And it is nervous system related. Which explains why LDN helps. And fibro is associated with other problems, like ASD and that. But they're finding fibro is autoimmune, and like a lot of other autoimmune diseases is associated with a variety of illnesses/comorbidities.

I don't think she said it's causing it, but she just realized why it's also causing relief for her autism.

I have two autoimmune diseases - Crohn’s and psoriasis. Autoimmune diseases can develop due to large levels of stress and trauma.. So it’s all connected, I wouldn’t be surprised Edit: I saw a reply that I think got deleted about someone having psoriatic arthritis. I also have that as part of my psoriasis and from the brief bit of the reply I could see from the notifications, what their rheumotologist mentioned seems about right

i am autistic (self dxd this year at 58) and i have fibromyalgia and it is definitely about your nerves and being a highly sensitive person- and the latest research i have seen is that the causes are in the brain- i get the autoimmune piece - but i think the autoimmune piece is caused BY the disconnect in the brain that causes us to he hyper sensitive to everything- the autoimmune is caused by the dysfunction - not the ither way around.

What are the long term effects of taking low dose naltrexone though? Do even doctors know?? This seems super risky to me.

Cusp Milennial/Gen X here! I can relate to these, and I've seen plenty of people even older than me relate to them also. Every time I introspect with words like yours to see how much it resonates with me, I come out finding it's deeply dissonant and untrue. I'd love to operate at a functional capacity without sensory things needing to be just right, without having infinitely complicated misunderstandings with people, and without my brain getting stuck on whatever it chooses, but I've had to find out the hard way that none of that is actually a choice-just something to work with. So your comment is really both ableist and ageist-this is not a generational problem, and I don't think Gen Z'ers deserve the brunt of that. Since you said you "think", it sounds like you're voicing an opinion, which you're definitely entitled to it-just know that your opinion is fundamentally flawed and lacking in knowledge and evidence. :)

most if not all people in these videos are fully adults, what are you talking about?? If you're not a part of the community don't click and comment useless and harmful things that have nothing to do with you. You're ableist, i hope you know that.
