Except that they're comparing a top-of-the-line Touring Edition CX-3 to a mid level HR-V EX. The EX-L trim level HR-V has heated leather seats, sport and econ driving modes, paddle shifters, reclining rear seat backs in an already roomier rear seat space. This was not a good comparison video, they should compare a top-of-the-line HR-V to a top-of-the-line CX-3

I would say that, this is the best comparison review, watch it several time... but still stuck in the middle... practicality vs whatever cx3 can offer... pricewise - hrv got few options, sexiest of coz cx3.... hmmmmm... not for me but for my soulemate...

I own a Honda and a Mazda. The Honda is a great first car, economical, very practical, and a very smooth ride, also notoriously reliable. The Mazda, it really is a driver's car, I thoroughly enjoy it every time i get in it. Their cars really have that Zoom Zoom DNA in them which encourages sporty driving (All my handbrake turns and advanced driving are on the Mazda), but some people who dont like driving fast might not appreciate that. Personally I prefer the Mazda as its more exciting. Just my 2 cents...

I just got my Mazda 3 a few months ago and I swear your review is on point! So relatable! Especially about the cabin noise. I thought only my car was noisy lol. And also the acceleration. I've had Hondas for years. Drove the hrv and loved it, but when I saw the Cx3, I just fell in love. It is a bit tight in the back for the teenage kids, but everything else about the car more than compensates.

I want a CX-3 but I need a HR-V. It's just a shame the mazda is not as big inside as the Honda. You can barley fit a rear facing child seat without compromising the front passenger comfort.

Top job, gentlemen! I really enjoyed it from my seat in Australia - your sense of humour, and the deft way you did the comparison between the two cars. The comment on the need for drivers to adjust to the way the Mazda Skyactive engine delivers its power was a highlight for me. We are finding our 2015 2.0l Mazda 3 has plenty of power for highway driving.

This is such a great video review. I'm so torn between these two. I want to love the cx3 but I dont think I can deal with the road noise and tight space. But as much as I love hr-v, I'm not a fan of the touch screen a/c navigation. I prefer knobs, and I like the old school parking brake.

We drove 5 hours to pick up our Mazda cx3. The car is amazing. With it just being my wife and I the limited space won't be an issue. Car is just gorgeous

The presentation almost make me forget the subject, really good guys. Mazda seem to be the brand when you talk about design in recent years, somewhere around aggresive, sporty and yet relaxing interiors. I think the CX-3 is a good bet for all i want in its class>

Very entertaining review 😂. Today i was test driving a CX3. Tmr i will try to get a drive with a HR-V. So far the Mazda is up front. The road noise is not as bad but its still there but there is no Problem with ignoring or getting use to it. The perfect car doesnt exist. And if, we probably cant afford it. Anyway, iam looking forward to a Honda test drive tmr and then i'll make a decision.

I chose the HRV in Thailand. really wanted to buy the Mazda for its driving ability but the interior is just too tight. Literally 2 inches wider and 2 inches longer would have made the difference!

I want a mazda cx3 grand touring but I need a honda hrv exl. The cx3 simply performs and looks better than the hrv, plus I like the HUD on the cx3. The hrv is spacious plus has the magic seats. The cx3 has a terrible armrest and cupholder. I will ultimately go with the HRV since I have to put needs ahead of wants. The hrv would be good for me since I plan to soon start a family. The space the hrv provides will be essential.

The Honda has a centre arm-rest for the driver and this makes long journeys abit more bearable. Not sure why Mazda CX-3 didn't come with a centre arm rest. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Mate, rear glass panel not fully in is good for the children sitting back there. That feature discourage them from sticking their head out. Proven by science.

Good thing they did not mention about price since it CBU vs CKD. i do think Bermaz real bullet on CKD CX-3 just how they did with Mazda 3. More equipment with much lower price. Until that day, CX-3 will shaken the HRV really hard.
