I saw this video in 2010, and I thought, this is the best sounding car I've ever heard. Modified or not. Since then I've come back to this video dozens of times, and still love the sound. To me this is still the best sounding car. I think it's even better than F1. Just amazing.

Honestly...Pagani has captured what a super car truly is in all aspects. Other companies do a great job with bias to a certain aspect of a "super car" ... acceleration, top speed, looks, sound, tech but Pagani has the lot and I am continuously blown away with their product. I am extremely jealous of the individuals who can enjoy ownership of machines like this but it is truly motivation in my life.

There's no turbo in this car. The sound is caused by the pressure drop in the exhaust system when the throttle is released during gearchange.

Why is he even trying to justify the price? Normally i hate cars that are overpriced, but you just need to look at that car once and you know that, that thing is the best looking thing in the whole world. The looks, the sound, the paint job and not to mention the fact it is made of a whole new material. It is straight out of a comic book! I find it quite cheap actually, because a Veyron SS costs 1.6 mil pounds i mean, how cold do you need to be to choose a Veyron SS over a Zonda Cinque?

@papito2you I don't think you've understood what I was saying, I WOULDN'T have the "$1.5 million roadster" I'd have the 4 other cars I've listed. So stepping out of a Veyron/599 GTO into a Porsche or AMG or Cliosport sounds just fine and dandy to me. Failing that I could have 7 Lamborghinis/Ferraris, one for each day of the week, or a house or three and some piffling cars to match. Which ever way I cut it I wouldn't spend my squillions on a Zonda that sounds like it's creeping through a forrest

You're right about the Agera and the veyron comparison, but the veyron does not suck. Veyron is a much easier car to live with everyday, and it is more reliable. I'm sure reliability is not a huge issue for someone who can afford the agera or veyron. But anyways, both cars are incredible. They're different cars, for different purposes, but great cars nonetheless.

you do know the veyron is not the fastest car in the world and neither is the supersport. look up the koenigsegg agera r and then never speak of veyrons again. who needs a w16 quad turbo engine if all you are going to get is 256? the agera r's v8 reaches 270+ and can actually corner and doesnt weigh 4,000 pounds. if tldr: veyrons suck and are not the fastest cars in the world.

@shoticko Because US/EU regulations. It is a brilliant engine if you're a small car maker like Pagani who is exempt thanks to your tiny production volume. The big guys are forced to play nice with nature by using smaller turbo changed and direct injection engines to get better numbers. Not HP and torque numbers, but CO2 and fuel mileage numbers.

@jerkininjamaica its not really a manual, in that you only have to pull a lever and its not really an automatic in that it doesnt use a torque converter. Its called an automated manual. You pull the lever and the computer does all the clutch work and the shifting for you. In essense it has all the inner working of a manual but shifts automatically.

I noticed every zonda does this, even the 760RS. I love the sound and i know any car can have problems no matter what the price tag is, but I think it is backfiring, it doesnt sound like the backfire from the lambos but I;m sure being an AMG V12 even the backfiring will sound different.

That doesn't sound like engine back fire the gallardo se and the aventador do the same thing, it is a single clutch gearbox so it's legible that this could happen. Don't get all butt hurt about it, they do this to aid the experience
