Perfect and concise explanation. Had this code on 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan with the same warning light. This was the solution, thank you.

So if u replace map sensor 2x still pulling that code what would caused it..??
@hb59143 жыл бұрын
You may have damaged wiring between the map sensor and PCM, which was the circumstance I experienced. I replaced the connector and wiring that was near the connector and the code was resolved. One of the wires (there are three wires), I snagged and trapped under the ignition coil, after reinstalling parts during a lower intake manifold gasket replacement. The code came on about four months after the wire become snagged and crushed under the ignition coil.

That’s my problem too I just bought a new one and it still has it. Did you figure out the problem

Before you unplugged the connector to the map sensor did you know that you had to disconnect your negative battery cable and then only re-connect your negative battery cable AFTER plugging the connector to the new/replacement map sensor?
@theresam88093 жыл бұрын
@@hb5914 I have question what happens if u don’t disconnect the battery before replacing it or when putting a new one on? I have put 2 news ones in and scanner still say map censored

I wonder if I got bad one, I read on keep forum which jeep Chrysler and dodge all day company.. Someone asked them what brand did they buy? He said after market . The person reply said that it better get a oem that some aftermarket are junk so what do u think?
@hb59143 жыл бұрын
@@theresam8809 If you did NOT completely disconnect the negative battery terminal before removing the previous map sensor and then replacing with a new map sensor, then you will have shorted out or damaged the new map sensor and you will have the same DTC(Diagnostic Trouble Code).

Okay so I did this on the scanner I did the live data and it's did not stay the same when I hit the gas the data changed it did not stay a straight line what else can cause this code?mite I add I have a 2013 avenger it doesn't have a MAP sensor only the manifold sensor and IAT sensor
@hb59143 жыл бұрын
The manifold sensor probably is the “map” sensor. A vacuum leak and/or damaged connector or wires between the map sensor and the PCM could also cause this code.

How do i fix a 108 code on my 99 durango 5.9
@hb59143 жыл бұрын
After inspecting your intake manifold for vacuum leaks and there are none and verifying that the connector and wires going from the sensor to the PCM are not damaged, you should follow the correct procedure and replace your map sensor.
