Thank you you advise. I have bought a VW Golf year 2011 TDI Bluemotion. The issue I have started 2 months ago is gas smell inside the car. It is strong smell and the bluemotion stop to work at the same time. I feel the engine works harder and the heat cooler work heavy. First I saw a engine light showing partikelfilter. After check the instruction book VW wrote some guide how to generate egr while driving in 3 gear at 3000 speed rate. I did that and the light dissapier. Now the problem is that sometimes I feel bluemotion stop working and gas smell in the cabin. I don't have any engine light and I did partikelfilter cleaning for 300$. I was sure the issue was partikelfilter bur after the cleaning the same problem is left. What can it be and how can I solve it quick???

I have an 03 Ford Expedition with 5.4 and P0442 code., I replaced the fuel cap reset and code came back. I smell fuel at rear of vehicle. For the longest time, at certain pumps like Sams, it will overfill and spill. I have to listen when close to full. Also I recently replaced the fuel pump relay in fuse box. Most likely when you put the fuel assembly in there’s a o ring on top if you don’t set that correctly when you fill your car up all the way you’ll smell gas and it could leak a little you need to make sure the O-ring is set correctly

last year my 2010 escape got a recall for a reason that could cause fumes in the car and they had to take out my back seats to get at something. now i wasn't having problems with the fumes before the fix but i have been ever since. the ford tech said i might be able to smell gas for a little bit then it would go away but it's been a year now, i really don't want to take it back to them because they seem to create problems and not fix any, any input at what i should look at? ii should add i only smell fumes when i fill it past 3/4 of a tank, anything below that is fine.

You definitely shouldn’t smell gas even after a repair there should not be a gas smell when I get back to work on Monday I will do some research what is your engine size and I will get back to you Monday evening with an answerI have plenty of resources to look up this problem I run an automotive shop I will be glad to help

@@AutoRepairTips757 i cant thank you enough even for looking, i got the 3.0L v6, with the price of gas so low i wanted to take advantage and fill up but anything past 3/4 tank and it stinks until the level drops below and then its ok. And the recall repair they did was underneath the back seat.

After doing some checking and what you told me there’s an O-ring that goes around your fuel pump and if they were in there working on that fuel pump they may not have seated that gasket correctly an easy way to look at it is pick your backseat up take out the 4 or 5 bolts that hold the cover on the access cover to your fuel pump ho ahead and fill it up and see if you see anything coming out or any wetness around that fuel pump gasket if you don’t feel comfortable doing that you might want to take it to a shop but it’s pretty cut and dry

The section in the van at 2:35 is almost silent. If you add a compressor and then normalizer on the audio channel it will even the levels out and prevent that.

I have BMW e90 n52 engine and I don’t have any fault code but smell gas from the outside of car. No visible leak I can tell. Don’t see any gasoline on the floor. I have an Audi 2008 A4 quattro convertible and all of a sudden white smoke came out of my muffler with a strong fuel smell. What can it be? I was looking into it on Google and it says it can be a blown head gasket and I know that's in the engine and very expensive but can it be something else? I'm hoping is something cheaper. I replaced the gas tank...My pontiac vibe seems to still leak from somewhere on top of the tank only when I fill it up. Thoughts?..Then after a few hours it gradually subsides. I am going crazier that i am normally. 2012 Cadillac SRX 3.6 L. Very bad gas smell with no codes. I had a MAP sensor code but nothing now. I have changed the following: Purge Valve, MAP sensor, PCV valve, MAF sensor. Checked vacuum lines in engine compartment with break cleaner. No luck. I am not a mechanic so please give me some help.

(Your website says that it is private). I have an '02 3.0L Duratec Ford Taurus with a gas smell. I used a gas sensor to check all over the car, and I found that the smell is coming from the rear passenger side below where the gas cap is. There's no gas smell around the engine. I don't see any evidence of a gas leak, but I can sure smell it. Does the Taurus have a evap system or charcoal box ? I saw another video that says that some cars have that, and it could be the source of the smell. But anyway, I need to fix that smell. It's been that way for about a year. I'm thinking from your video that I'm gonna need to drop the tank. That doesn't sound like any fun. BTW...there hasn't been a check engine light on. I have one of those plug in trouble code testers, and it doesn't show any trouble codes. Thanks for the video. I was happily surprised to see that it was specifically an '02 Taurus .

Does it smell like raw gas or does it smell like gas fumes from an exhaust system. If you smell Raw gas then most likely you have a leak under the hood and you definitely need to get that checked out as soon as possible, if it smells more like gas fumes from an exhaust and your car is running really rich you should put a scanner on it and check your readings on your car make sure your fuel injectors are working correctly and your O2 sensors are reading correctly either way it doesn’t sound like it’s too safe to drive so make sure you get a checked out as soon as possible

It’s possible you need to put a fuel pressure gauge on it take some readings, also if you’re smelling raw gas you need to get that checked out as soon as possible

@@GhostsQueen85 Check something for me first I’ve done a video on this in the past sometimes especially on a Honda the valve cover gasket is leaking oil a little bit and burning off and when you turn the heat on it pulls some of those fumes from under your hood into the car and it smells like gas a little bit just make sure you don’t have Oil leaking from anywhere under the hood check that first

I would have to say while sitting and when I take off from a stop, then it fades. It sounds like you have a leak in your EVAP system you need to find that vacuum leak and fix it it’s possible your gas tank is not breathing correctly because of the vacuum leak if you hear it above your gas tank try to look up there and see Where it’s coming from
