അവിയല്‍ (Aviyal)

Aviyal
Ingredients
1. White cucumber (yellow cucumber) - 3 cups
2. Elephant foot yam - 1 ½ cup
3. Kerala banana - 1 no
4. Long beans - 1 ½ cup
5. Long brinjal - 1 ½ cup
6. Snake gourd -1 ½ cup
7. Drum stick - 3 to 4
8. Green chilli - 10 to 12
9. Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
10. Chilli powder - 1 tsp
11. Salt - to taste
12. Tamarind - gooseberry size
Masala
13. Grated coconut - 3 cups
14. Cumin seeds - 1 ½ tsp
15. Curry leaves - 2 twigs
16. Chilli powder - ¼ tsp
17. Turmeric powder - a big pinch
Garnish
18. Coconut oil - 1 ½ tbsp
19. Curry leaves - 3 to 4 twigs
Preparation
1. Crush the items for masala & keep
2. Boil the vegetables (1 to 8) with salt chilli & turmeric powder till done with 1 cup of water, 15 to 20 minutes.
3. Add tamarind juice mix well, again boil 5 minutes.
4. Add the crushed mixture put off the flame & stir well to mix.
5. Garnish with the items & stir gently.

ടീച്ചർ, ഞാൻ ഇന്ന് ശർക്കരപുരട്ടി ഉണ്ടാക്കി. നന്നായി വന്നു. ഓടം കെട്ടുന്നതുവരെ കായ് അനക്കാതെ ഇട്ടു. ശർക്കര പാവ് അരണക്കണ്ണ് പാകമായപ്പോൾ തീ നിർത്തി രണ്ടു മിനിട്ടു കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ വറുത്ത കായ് ഇട്ടു. നന്നായി വന്നു. ഇന്ന് വളരെ സന്തോഷം തോന്നുന്നു. നാളെ ഇങ്ങനെ അവിയൽ ഉണ്ടാക്കും.
