Got mine, its awesome because I can throw my plates in my backpack to simulate rucking as well. One tip I have is to order pads to keep the plates off of your chest more. Made a world of difference for me. Thanks Gritty, going 68w, have meps next monday. God bless you, wealth of information

Would running on grass not be a better idea?

Hello, can you do a video on rucking in cold weather. Like 30/40 degrees and below. I live in Montana and by October is starts getting into the 30s and onward it gets even colder. Sometimes -20 or -40 with wicked snow ontop of that. Thanks.

I run with my chest rig, I just run with my lvl 4s. So around 25 pounds. As time goes on, I just add loaded mags for extra weight.

How often do you incorporate weight vest runs? Can I replace rucks with them?

Thanks

Something to add - don't even consider weighted running until you are ALREADY IN REALLY GOOD SHAPE. Meaning, like, 13 minute two miler, capable of running 10 consecutive miles without walking. Already having been weight lifting for 6+ months correctly and consistently, etc. 1) You don't need the additional benefit of weighted running until you've already gotten to a really good level in general. 2) if you aren't in really good shape you are going to hurt yourself.

This has to be higher. After my patellar injury I could run on the treadmill without having pain later only after I cycled on an indoor bike. And it took some time to build muscle around the knees to support them before I could even run.

I disagree. I don't distance run anymore and am not going to start doing so just for an arbitrary standard of 10 miles. If you're horribly out of shape and have no conditioning, sure. But if somewhat in shape and using CORRECT running technique and form, a 170lbs person running with an extra 10lbs is no different than someone with the same fitness and conditioning who's 180lbs and just has 10 more lbs. of bodyfat. Constantly people who are obese and want to lose weight but have no business running start doing so anyway with minimal issues. If adding extra weight causes issues then regardless of being "IN REALLY GOOD SHAPE" you were going to get those issues from running poorly anyway.

I can’t talk while I run, and I can only run for like 2 minutes before I catch my breath, and catching my breath is difficult, I have walked with a plate carrier for a few years now but have never even tried to run. Is it just doing it?
@kevinyoung95572 ай бұрын
Do a plate carrier every other week.

Bro what's your workout music? I do parkway drive+gangster rap (Pop Smoke, Young dolph, JuicyJ, etc) 🤘🏿
join a high speed unit and you can do these once a week for free. knee injuries included because iotvs are loose and its only on streets.

Hey Gritty Soldier. Do you know how many lbs they'll make us carry (while rucking in the Army)? I ship out in January and I've been rucking with 20lbs on my back.
