YES ! Tinnitus is managed . The best video I have ever watched about Tinnitus. I use sound therapy at night to help me sleep. My 4 thousand dollar hearing aides have built in sound maskers that work great. I have no problem with Tinnitus when I am outside but inside , I use sound therapy/ maskers. My best friend is my audiologist and my new hobby is learning about sound maskers and stripping the audio off KZbin videos and down loading them on to a SD card.

Constant background sounds. I have speakers in every room and I play sounds from nature and sounds specifically designed for the hz of my tinnitus. I play white noise while I sleep. I just make it part of my day (life) and it REALLY helps distract me from the constant piercing sound I hear over everything 🥴. It works for me.

I have had pulsatile tinnitus for the last year. This has been devasting for me! We all go through so much psychological pain with tinnitus. I've been on Trazodone, Klonopin and Gabapentin. All of these drugs help the anxiety but make the sound louder. I'm having a brain angiogram on Monday coming up. One great thing that I've learned about my tinnitus, is to look up more and spend less time looking down. This can create a better curve in the neck. The carotid artery rubs up against the jugular vein which makes the sound travel from the heart to the head. I found this amazing video here on KZbin by Dr. Hauser in Florida. Last night was the first night I've slept through for 6 hours with less Trazodone. I really hope this keeps up. Thanks for your videos Ben.

I missed this yesterday Dr. Ben as I had an appt. I want u to know you have helped me lower my tinnitus volume to a 2 and some days I don't even hear it any more. It's from doing the sound therapy everyday for 6 months! I think your the bomb and recommend everyone with tinnitus to listen to Dr. Ben and trust him! ❤ I know I will probably have bad days but the things I've learned from u helps me with that too! THANK YOU!

Went to bed 2 months ago and woke up with SSNHL in my right ear. And severe vertigo. 10 days of 60mg prednisone and vertigo gone but left with low sound tinnitus and imbalance. Now imbalance mostly gone . Good and bad days with tinnitus but hearing VERY slowly improving. Not enough for a hearing aid yet but still hopeful. I wear a Casio ProTrek that can track barometric pressure. When the pressure changes, whether up or down, the tinnitus gets worse. When it levels off the tinnitus get better. I should have been dead in 4 separate incidents in my life so if the tinnitus/hearing loss is permanent oh well. At least I’m still on the right side of the grass..

I'm pretty sure I have somatic tinnitus on my left side. On my right side it's the high pitched ringing and I barely notice it. The left side is hard to not notice. The tinnitus began after having crown prep and placement...which I believe is the reason my bite is off (that's what my dental hygienist told me), leading to me clenching my teeth while sleeping which led to a nighttime bite guard. The bite guard doesn't seem to have made a difference...some days the tinnitus is gone, other days it's insanely loud and in between it varies during the day. I've had whiplash several times too, over the years and I have a clicking sound in the thoracic spine (no pain though) and my right leg seems to be on a weird angle (I noticed this after taking a fall in the dog lot which has rough ground...I had some whiplash during that fall.) Not sure who to see about addressing these issues...my primary doc says there's no cure; my ent diagnosed me with vestibular migraine (I do have classic symptoms for vm) and the neurologist I was referred to for vm treatment says all my symptoms are due to anxiety, insisting I do not have vm...I do believe he is uninformed about vm iow WRONG. He put me on meds which helped until I experienced interdose withdrawal and tolerance withdrawal. I don't know where to turn...going back to see my ent next month b/c my symptoms have ramped up since I've tapered off the vm meds. It's very frustrating and hard to live with.

It sounds like you've been dealing with a lot of challenges related to your tinnitus and other symptoms. Using the bite guard consistently for a couple of weeks might provide more clarity on its effectiveness. Seeing your ENT next month is a good step, as they may have additional solutions. If you feel like you need further guidance or options, we're here to support you. You can use this link treble.health/consultation to schedule a complimentary telehealth consultation with one of our tinnitus specialists.

@@McStorch0 well it's a noise like a humming a few peuple can hear constantly, between 2-4% of the population. There is no determined causes yet. Google it, there is a lot of information. It's really horrible and it's destroying me.

Cause: unknown, but it's complicated. Treatment: we try everything here and there but it is complicated. Improvement: temporary. Healing: nope (but it is ...). What are you actually talking about? If you don't know the cause of a problem, it is impossible to come up with a solution.
@ronaldl90856 ай бұрын
Often illnesses come forward without knowing why. Yet that doesn’t always mean there’s nothing that can be done to alleviate the symptoms.
@treblehealth6 ай бұрын
Tinnitus can indeed be complex, with various factors contributing to its onset and persistence. It's important to understand that the causes of tinnitus can be multifactorial and vary from person to person. This complexity can make finding a single, definitive solution challenging. However, by exploring different approaches and considering individual patient factors, such as medical history and lifestyle, it's possible to develop effective management strategies tailored to each person's unique needs.

Sommatic tinnitus is a joke. Tried dentist, facial surgeon, physical therapist, chiropractor and no change. One dentist wants me to wear a device to change my bite and another one said don't dare attempt that! It's such a rare thing. Even my facial surgeon would not recommend an MRI. As long as my jaw pops without pain, it's muscular and nothing can be done. 😞

So I’ve had treble maskers for a year and I’m not that much better. I am better but it’s not much softer or in the background. I don’t understand how you say it’s a sprint not a marathon but it seems like everyone you talk about is having big changes at 6 months.
@treblehealth6 ай бұрын
Everyone's journey with tinnitus can vary greatly. It's important to keep using the treble maskers consistently, as they can take time to show significant improvement. What works for one person may not work exactly the same for another, but persistence and patience are key. Keep using them and stay in touch with your audiologist at Treble Health if you need more assistance :)
