My tinnitus has put me in a very dark place. 4 years and counting of nonstop bothersome ringing. I've tired everything this gentlemen mentioned. I even tried just accepting it and learning how to cope but the ringing has gotten worse in the past month. If I listen to music or sounds, the tinnitus intensifies once I take off my headset. Even if listening on low volume. Thanks for this video. 🙏

Well, at least I’ve gotten to the point a handful of times where I can turn off all sound and relax enough to fall asleep, just because I wanted to really bad and the T was low. Unfortunately, there been more times where I haven’t fallen asleep until 2,3,4,5, or 6 a.m. The insomnia has gotten pretty bad. I just roll with it and sleep in because I’m retired. Or get up and take a nap later. I also have sleep apnea so it’s a bad situation now with tinnitus too. I have all sorts of supplements and CBD but sometimes absolutely nothing helps. We’re all in this together and I hope none of you are suffering too badly.

I got tinnitus mid April 2024. It was very loud for 2 months. The constant worry and assault I experienced caused physical symptoms. My hearing was actually too good... I could hear a pin drop three rooms away kind of thing. Luckily it has gradually gotten less loud. Luckily I never had trouble going to sleep even in the first days. Today I can experince entire days free of it. I have also gone a full week free of it. I can enjoy my life again. I pray everyone gets beyond the worry and finds that it gradually improves their tinnitus. My advice is to talk to people about aything. I found that when talking to another person I couldn't hear it. Also, watch things that absorb your attention. Every second you can ignore tinnitus is a second closer to not hearing it more and more. Your brain will learn to not hear it anymore.

I have had tinnitus for more than 20 years, gradually worsening. In the middle of that period I had chemotherapy for cancer, stage 4, detected late with a fair, but by no means certain prognosis. I survived but with some distressing short and long term consequences of the chemo. Beyond a shadow of doubt, my tinnitus was and is worse than all of it.

I have (had) cancer as well and got tinnitus right after my surgery for the reconstruction after double mastectomy. I am not sure if it was the anesthesia, the tube down my throat, or the anastrazole that I am taking (which can make you lose some hair and possibly ear hair). Have only had in a month and a half but it does drive me crazy sometimes…. Like cicadas or locusts. Have you tried any of the things they mentioned in this video? / Plus…. I wish you well❤

I’m on my 3rd bout with tinnitus ( play in loud band) this time it was rough, went to a very dark place, I swore this was it, I’m stuck for life, after 4 months it’s still there but it’s settling, I’m not noticing as much but it’s there. I’m more positive I’ll get through thus again. It’s important people who have habituated come back and let people know it gets better. I can tell you I still get anxiety over it, but somehow you just habituate. Do whatever you need to do to get through it.
@aaronlc79483 күн бұрын
Yeah, I’ve had tinnitus for over 10 years and I’ve had two spikes now. One was due to using AirPods and the other was due to stress. I’m currently still trying to habituate to the last spike, and I’m hoping this is gonna be the last one for a long, long time.

My tinnitus started after taking the covid vaccination
@sandbar30004 ай бұрын
Mine got WORSE AFTER THE Johnson & Johnson vaccine. But I also had omicron, and once I got omicron.The earringing got worse in some time aroun Jan 2022 So April 21 I had the johnson and johnson, and then everybody was making a big deal about me.Needing a booster and I gave him the bird.And I said this is my body.I had the johnson and johnson one time.And you're done for a reason.You're not going to make it a booster, and everybody pushed on me and pushed on me.And pushed and pushed and pushed, and I said fine.I'll get a booster just for you.I will shove a c*** in my.You know what just for you.Just to make you happy, I will get another johnson and johnson and guess what?I did that was december 21. And lo and behold one month later I got Omicron. So what's the point of getting a booster? If you still get sick and every time I get this, it is always my sinuses. It is always my ears and my sinuses. It's not my throat. My throat doesn't get in the mix. It's always ears, eyes and sinuses every time I get sick. I believe it was both the vaccine.N omicron that happened.That made this whole thing worse.Because my ears have been ringing since I don't know 2001? I had a bad car accident And my car flipped over and the jaws of life had to be used to get me out of the car. That was march 2003. I wonder if everything started from. That car accident and my neck wasn't broken or anything like that. Just my hand broke, that's it. I walked away with bruises and I was alive and my hand broke and my car flipped totally 360 and I'm wondering if that's when it all started, but definitely definitely, I can definitely feel I could hear. Hire ringing once. I got that vaccine and I got 2 vaccines and then I got Omicron. And then I had the flirt variant in June 2024. That really bad everything worse!

Just for a positive comment. I felt the same way where as of late I noticed I just stop noticing it for the vast majority of the day. When I do its no longer such an existential threat. And its easy to put out of mind when I do. When going to sleep using two sounds at once can help. Cricket's + rain both chaotic noise of different pitch. The ring is greatly diminished by getting lost in the chaos.

I cannot listen to music, even at low volumes in the car anymore. I can listen to a podcast though. I can sleep with a fan on, it drowns it out as that is very close to the sound I have which is a static tv/running water/speaker crackling. Not sure if that will help anyone else, but my husband always has a fan on and I used to hate it, but now, it is the only time I feel like I don't have my own symphony going on in my head. I believe I clench my jaw and grind my teeth and kink my neck while sitting watching tv or working on my laptop, so I have been trying to ease these things and massage my jaw and neck. It has been helping, but it stil there. I have tried the finger tapping on the back of the skull and it does strangely work sometimes. None of the 3 ENT's or GP have been any help for giving me advice on how to get better, just threw drugs at me and basically said to get used to it unless my dizziness got worse, then they could test me for menieres, but another told me I definitely didn't have menieres. I felt very unheard and uncared for, despite feeling completely alone and isolated in my own sadness.

Treating tinnitus isn't necessarily easier based on its cause. The ease of treatment can vary from person to person. However, tinnitus resulting from issues like temporomandibular joint (TMJ) problems or ear infections may be relatively easier to treat because they are often temporary and resolve with appropriate management.
