Thank you so much, today I had my first soccer training with the new first team. I wasn't sharp in finishing and the coach said that if I wanted to improve something I need to improve the finishing. I think it's also a bit of nerves, could u make a video what sort of focus (external or internal) I should use for scoring in high pressure moment? Thanks for this video clarifying I should take it easy on myself!

Adam, I believe there are other videos I have on concentration that would be helpful to you, but the key here is to keep your focus away from your thoughts and worry about the coach or other teammates and on the action. Playing calmly and with confidence comes when your focus is external on the action, on seeing, reading and reacting. Seeing the play as it develops and the ball, location of your teammates and the opponents, instinctively read=ing the situation and then simply reacting. This involves NO thinking and happens in a nanosecond. So your job on the field is to keep your focus in the moment on the action and every time thoughts p[op up, you want to quickly return your focus back to the action! You can't stop the thoughts and don't need to. What you need to do is to stay focused on what's happening on the field and this doesn't involve any thinking!
