Awesome HK style 3 point sling for any rifle!

Hi, in this video I show you an awesome HK style sling that I originally got for my PTR91. Im now thinking of using it on all my rifles because it is so cool with all its different carry methods (4 to be exact).

At 2:58 that is not a single point carry! It's a three-point sling made for the G3 rifles and pretty damn awesome.. When properly tightened, the sling will aid your aim by helping you hold the weapon in firing position. It's also so that you can walk in patrol position and the high readiness position. Keeping it perfectly where you want it. (That's also the preferred method by the military).. Source: Myself and 3 years of Army experience with the norwegian AG3 (licensed HK G3).

Thank you for posting a clear demonstration of how this sling works. I recently acquired a C308 and didn't know which sling I wanted to install on it; now I do. Just waiting for RTG parts to get one in stock.

I don't know if you knew this but it wasn't mentioned in the video so I may as well say it. There is an additional position that this sling can be used to carry the gun in. It is a high port arms position across the chest. However you can only carry the gun in that position if you have the "wide" or sometimes called "tropical" handguard with the additional metal sling clip. The sliding buckle is clipped into that and the rifle hangs across the chest.

I used the 3 point sling for my first year in the Marines. I’m so glad we switched to 2 point. No time to mess with a 3 point sling while clearing trenches or rooms. It’d also get caught on every tree branch on patrols

I realize that this was posted a long time ago, but I just found it and wanted to thank you for the info. I've been trying to find some type of sling like this for my stock SKS. All of the slings and videos I could find are for retrofitted rifles like the bullpup design, which is all good, but I like mine as-is. Thanks to you I now know that what I want not only exists, but what to look for and how to use it if/when I get it. I really appreciate it. Thanks again. Peace.

Hey V8, thanks for making that vid, it couldn't have been done better! Also, if you'll browse the Internet, you are the only person to put out any info and demonstrate just how handy that sling is! Good job, I also remember you calling your stock tropical green. I have the tropical green stock, and what you have is the OD green. The tropical green is very, very, very bright green, almost neon, but like I recommended the four by the wide for end from Roberts, so you can hook that bipod up

The sling it self is good, but it not gonna be left-handed user-friendly, WHEN attach to that rifle. Because the sling swivel/ring are meant for right-handed user.

Awesome sling. Used it 1 year in the Norwegian army myself. Recently i bought the Specter 3-point sling. I liked the HK sling better. Simple solutions work best, and Americans have a way to over complicate things :P

Thanks for the awesome video and demonstration. I just recently got a PTR91 GI and have been doing some upgrades to it such as adding adding a wide fore end, swapping the god awful "Navy" polymer lower for a polymer contoured lower, and adding a bayonet adapter, A3 4-position stock and a Hensoldt Z24 scope. I just ordered a 3 point sling like yours, but in OD rather than black and am glad to see the many options it gives you. Those Germans are some crafty bastards, that's for sure.

You should invest in the HK collapsible stock it will make it more compact when you carry it on your back and you can conceal it under a coat just a fyi.

Nice sling. I bought a wide hand guard from Roberts RTG for my PTR, but I have to say that I find the slim hand guard to be (easier), if that makes sense.

Nice video! One tip: The reason why you may want to shorten your sling or not extend it all the way is if you have one of the telescopic stocks where the rear mounting point would be at the end of the upper receiver just below the rear sight, instead of on the stock itself, which makes for a shorter sling.

I bought a Viper 3 point sling that came with no instructions. Im going to try to work out how this sling works, failing that, ill order the one in your vid and pay the import duty. yea thats what i was thinking, this green is to dark. They advertised it as tropical though. I want the entire black set with wide forend but im saving up for another potential rifle (belt fed) or a first handgun. Thanks. Now the next vid for this rifle is gonna be some shootin'.

So, your were deploying the refile in it's three point configuration, not one. Granted, you have the ability and flexibility of a single point (as with the ball smashing and muzzle dragging), which is one of the several ways that style of sling was designed for. And for getting wrapped up in all of your gear...

I found this sling sealed with an mp5 manual, had the same illustrations as you showed. It’s exactly the same sling as the hk91 uses. Only thing I hate is where my cheek weld is the sling and the metal part that hooks the sling to the stock digs into my chin/cheek making it basically unusable. Oviously everyone’s size and location of cheek weld is different, but as an average sized guy the sling pieces are very anoyying rubbing your face when shooting it.
