The girl got away because she had no weapons. The Predator's code wouldn't let him go after here since she was not able to fight back.

It still amazes me that this film features two future American Governors.

The girl got away because she wasn't viewed as a warrior, and thus a worthy target. It is easy to miss, but there is a short scene before Arnold begins going one-on-one, where he kicks the gun out of her hand, because he figured it out.

The Predator has futuristic weapons, can turn invisible, mimic other languages and god knows what else.

In Predator, Arnold barely survived fighting the thing. In Predator 2, it's Danny Glover and it's in the middle of Los Angeles. Totally worth watching.

In this movie are both Arnold Schwarzenegger 38th governor of California from 2003 to 2011 and Jesse Ventura (mustache and mini gun) 38th governor of Minnesota from 1999 to 2003.

The story of the guy who makes the Predator noises is pretty cool. They auditioned hundreds of people and almost everybody made roaring noises and stuff. He almost missed the audition and they almost didn't let him try, but he got in last minute. He gets onto the mic and decides to try something he was thinking of in the car ride on the way, and started making that sound, every single one of the execs are listening and they're dead silent, he blew them away, it was absolutely perfect for the predator, they hired him on the spot
