The guitar player that Paul is referring to is Stephen Coronel from Wicked Lester. He introduced Gene to Paul. If you look into Stephen Coronel's recent history sadly he's caught up in some fairly seriously bad things and currently in jail. Life's full of chance meetings and Paul was incredibly lucky to meet Gene. They needed each other to balance out a very complicated chemistry between them.

@Kissband131 hey Paul why don't you be 100 percent honest? You really don't like gene as much as you claim. You're basically his business partner and that's the cold hard truth. You had no trouble throwing him under the bus in your book face the music where you really tore into him for alot of stuff over the 50 years you've known him. I think you're putting on a charade with how you feel about gene in the press and in public but privately you don't really like him. I get people have their faults but for you to expose his misgivings quite a lot really proves to me that you don't care thar much about him let's cut tge bullshit. What's going to happen when gene passes on? Will you be devastated? I honestly don't think you truly will be. You can put on the charade all you want but the truth will haunt you for the rest of your life. I think you probably know more about gene that you won't discuss right? Let's say it like it is man....he's your business partner case closed.

@gregromano7355 Absolutely man, I get sick of that s*** because I've heard the audio book of Paul's book. And basically he trashes gene alot. I think in the beginning when they got together They liked each other but as time went on when it became a business I think paul started to get tired of gene's ego because it was getting out of control. I would've understood if he busted gene's chops on his faults and was harmless but if you read his book it's pretty harsh stuff.... some of the things paul didn't like about gene and his actions and the way he went about the business in the band.

Its nice to hear in this interview that i seem to have been right about that. Great video, im glad i saw it.

I know Kiss is a very popular band, but I think how good they are has been a bit underrated. Paul is an amazing singer and I don't think he has gotten the credit he deserves. They are very down to Earth genuine guys. I have always liked Gene. He is highly intelligent and he knows it and doesn't mind letting people know, which of course comes over as arrogance. "A great partership is based on understanding its limitations. If you don't expect something from someone that they aren't equipped to give you, you won't be disappointed." Another way to put it is, people can only give what they have. It's not only unfair but also unwise to expect them to give what they don't possess or who they are not. This is true in any relationship, whether you are talking about a band member, a spouse/mate, an employee, etc.. Where it usually goes wrong is when a leader insists on doing something he is not good at instead of delegating the task to someone else who is better. A good leader is able to let go of his ego and say, "you are better than me at this, so you take it."
