I will never forget, while trying to tire my little cousin out so I could get some real fishing in, I caught my pb 7lb2oz largemouth trolling behind a paddle boat. My cousin of course was no longer tired or going to be, and I was made to paddle for another 4 hours. We did get quite a few bass and pike, but I don't remember how long I slept afterwards. Might have been the entire next day.

Fun to have this pop up in my recommendations after subscribing -- I spent yesterday cleaning out and reorganizing a couple 30-year-old tackle boxes I had sitting neglected in the basement, both pretty overstuffed with lures and accessories. You had a couple of the same ones in that box from your granddad, though mine lean a bit more toward Upper Great Lakes region fishing, including a bunch of Rapalas and Mepps for trout, salmon, and northern pike. I found out through a couple slips that the hooks were still plenty sharp. On top of that, I was out tonight at a friend's dock getting one of my 3-decade-plus spinning outfits back in action, a great 7-foot light action Silstar graphite rod matched with a nice little Shimano reel -- not top of the line, but the best I could afford back then and still going strong. And, yes, I'm old enough to be your granddad, lol.
