The bug regarding using Azir as a deck cover: When you try to drag Azir onto the deck cover, the game thinks you're trying to put him in your deck. Because of this, you can't put any card that you're running 3 of as your deck cover. You can work around this by taking out 1 Azir, putting him as the deck cover, and then putting Azir back into the deck. Hope this helps!

They prioritize trying to make people have fun with the game which makes us more willing to spend money on it instead of forcing us to spend money on it to be able to have a chance at fun. It's a business model that worked for League, and a ton of other free to play games with premium cosmetics. MMOs have been doing this forever, and it's honestly astonishing that other card games are so blind to this. It just goes to show that a lot of them do not have faith in their developers, and want to cut corners.

Yeah I can agree and it is very nice to see people managing to build more expensive decks mainly because the game gives you so much free stuff it's great. I usually don't just make the cards because I find it more enjoyable opening them in packs rather than just having immediate access to the cards you want. It seems even Hearthstone is trying to go this path with the new core set that gives newer players access to the cards without paying money which I think this has to be an effect caused by LOR because HS for years had this issue of the game not being accesible to newer players because of the amount of money you had to invest in order to create the deck you want. So honestly I'm glad we are getting to see how LOR is affecting other card games as well. I really find it great for all of us even if you want to play a diffrent card game once in a while.

When you get to lvl 3 Azir your deck gets replaced by the emperor’s deck, which only includes 15 overpowered cards. Recently My opponent “nabbed” one card from that deck. That card being the “Summon Nasus and Renekton at lvl 3 and rally. Lost the game... After such a build up. I cried after watching him get 20s of leveling up animation of Renekton and Nasus. Fuck Bilgewater.

Actually, tests have proven that that card is ALWAYS the bottom card of The Emperor's deck, meaning it will always get nabbed first.

Many of the latest cards kill your own units. It's hard not to make the Undying work... I personally recommend to add Kindred in the Deck. Nasus also is an option but, as for me, it slows the tempo of the late-game deck too much which is unnecessary because it works pretty well without him and his stacking may cost you a game. In the other hand, if you prefer running only 1 Undying and it's not your main carry then Nasus looks good. The secret of success is to take almost all of the new unit killing cards and abuse Kindred by randomly spam any of these great cards.

It's not just about what champs you're running, it's about what deck you're running them in. Elise in an ephemeral deck is, in fact, pretty lazy, and there's a better champ in the SAME REGION for the kind of deck he was trying to run. In a Kindred deck? Making a buncha little spider buddies is valuable enough that it can be a valid option.

Honestly I'm happy to see the new cards actually bringing back some champions, I think champions like Hecarim needed the support and hell now with Jarven Quinn can actually be viable with diffrent decks rather than just an MF-scouts deck. Also even MF can be used with Jarven too and same goes to Garen, so that's why I'm so happy to see champions finding home in varios decks which is very nice to see.

Shurima/Shadow Isles with Azir was the first deck I made too. I just made it with Prankster instead, and focused on death synergy. I put in a 1 off of Maokai for late game decks, since you rack up deaths very quickly. Since everything revolves around Azir, and since Destined Poro is so easy to level up with Azir, you want to put in 3 of Rite of Calling. Another thing is that even if you have Azir out on the board, drawing Azir is still really good considering Arise can be played after you opponent sets up their attack to summon units to defend.

Hey Mogwai, that bug for the deck art is actually due to having three copies of the card art you want in the deck. Pretty easy fix - take an Azir out, swap the art, and put him back in!

I really love this deck, and have played 50+ games with it. The card I'm least happy about is Ravenous Butcher. When you have it in your opening hand in combination with Dunekeeper, it's great. Other times, you often don't have units you would want to sacrifice. Right now I'm experimenting with Ancient Preparations as a replacement. Always happy to get more consistency with my draws. Worst case, it's a delayed blocker / easy attacker to get Azir Sand Soldiers.

In the Elise/Azir player's defense, Elise does have synergy with Azir since she summons units on attack, furthering his level condition and synergizing with what Azir is wanting to do anyway. It may have been a purposeful use of a lower curve champion to make a more aggro variant of the azir ephemeral strategy

That last deck was using the 1 mana new pnz spell concurrent timelines that lets you transform the first follower played with Ledros to get a 60% chance to get dreadway for otk. It usually doesn't run ruination. I also think it falls victim to the Elise trap. The dude played box when he could just play thresh which is a much better champ imo

The bug with the deck covers is related to the amount of copies of a card is in the deck. If you have 3 copies of a card you can't drag it into place for it to appear as the cover because the game thinks you are adding a fourth copy of the card. I found that if you take a single copy of a card out of the deck (2 out of 3) then you can make it the cover, once that is done you can return the third copy of the card back into the deck.

Hey Mog thanks for this Azir Hecarim list! So far I've played him with Lucian and I must say I love this champ so I'm glad to give this list a try. May I recommend you try making a Taliyah Ionia deck? I've been playing her in an allegiance deck with Ionia splash for Dawn and Dusk and Nopefy. Getting 3 Taliyahs on board is so much fun because you fill the stack with skills and the enemy can only play burst speed spells in response.

Great deck Mog , literally made something similar before I seen this vid ... The only thing I'd want to say is that sometimes people use sub optimal Champs cause they're F2P and don't have the wild cards. I personally came back to the game and don't have enough for both Kindred and Taliyah and so I'm playing other kinds of decks to make do. It can definitely be lazy building but there's an added variable in this case. Tho it has led to some interesting innovation for me where Teemo, Viktor, Aphelios works surprisingly well

I crafted Azir first for 2 reasons: 1) I love the champion 2) The Ephemeral route was also a relatively cheap deck to build to me since I didn't have may resources to craft Once I get more cards I'll build a moni Shurima Emperor's deck

I think you would still miss lethal by 3HP at 21:00 because he blocks your 5|2 Dunekeeper with his 4|3, blocks your 4|2 sand soldier (which deals 5 damage to face) with his 5|4, blocks your Inspiring marshal with his J4 and blocks your 6|2 Shark Chariot with his 3|3 Blacksmith thus only taking the 2|1 Dunekeeper and 2|3 Soulsheperd to his face.
