I bought one of these (P90 version) from Andertons about a year ago. I’m lucky enough to have a small collection of guitars, a LP, SG, Tele, Strat, etc, and all of those are good examples of the type. Out of all of them, the B&G has become my ‘go to’ guitar. It’s got a unique character and sound that I just don’t get with any of the others. It just puts a smile on my face every time I play it and I end up just sat playing for ages! For me, it brings out the bluesy, rootsy (if that’s a word!) thing. Sounds great clean or overdriven. Well worth checking out if you want something different to the standard things from the usual manufactures. I’m very pleased I went for it.

Not for me. Rustic looking is one thing, but a functional headstock design is a must. There is too much unnecessary compromise, nut tension and rubbing on wood with that one.

@bpastorb2 жыл бұрын
@@steveDC51 I disagree with that statement to be honest. The cheapest crossroads I can find right now is $2k CAD and they are finished in poly. Considering the style of being something that looks like it came out of the beginning of electric guitars a poly finish seems wrong to me. I know lot's of people are not bothered by that but it is something that is important to me. It is also pretty expensive for an affordable/entry model. I would rather the two entry level gibsons or the 4 epiphones I could get over one single b&g. I've also been pretty interested in trying out a godin recently, obviously i am biased because of the Canadian roots. Compared to Godin again I could probably get 2 or 3 of their entry level models for that 2k mark That is just my opinion I'm sure lots of people own one and would disagree.

Alot of people think that because the guitar is expensive its going to be unbelievable good , its just not the case , I have a Mexican Fender which I bought brand new in 94 , I want to retire the Mexican give it a nice hanging display case , and I ve looked and tried lots of USA Fender strats and haven't found one thats anywhere near my Mexican, Ive seen this brand of guitars in Guitarist magazine, very nice but not worth the money , I was reading about the Hofner Verythin UK Black Satin a stunning looking guitar , Black Satin on Mahogany top , flame maple back and sides , for £270 , I know what I'd rather have and I can afford both. So for the guys that are starting out and have a large budget don't just go for the expensive stuff. That goes for amps to . A recent video of that lady LINDA LEE with the Original 50s Gibson guitar and this guy was playing it through a cheap solid state Peavey Amp and it sounded really good.
