I believe it's for making an automatic more effective for drag racing. You can upshift each gear without accidentally shifting 2 gears up.

@@Junior736209 I don’t have one so I’m not sure. But to my knowledge I don’t think this allows you to go from 1st to drive. I think it only lets you sequentially go from 1st to 2nd to 3rd to drive one at a time. It’s designed to go one at a time without mistakenly upshifting or downshifting twice

It's designed to keep you from skipping gears and no there isn't anything wrong with shifting like that. Some automatics are actually modified so they have to be shifted manually.

Basically. It is ideal for drag racing, but worse in pretty much every situation to both a normal automatic or a manual.

@@Dizzykitty817 Hows it worse compared to a manual? There's no clutch to use, which makes traffic a breeze. Get the ease of use in traffic of an auto, the fun of a manual with the faster shifts. Which is why I daily one.

@@sparkplug1018 If it makes you happy then that's good. It looks cool and I bet it is fun to use. I only mean it doesn't really offer significant performance gain over leaving the shifter stock or a comparable manual transmission for %99.9 of situations outside of strait line pulls. With an msrp in the 300 dollar range I think it is fair to point this out to people who are confused as to the actual benefits provided.

@@Dizzykitty817 The benefits are it won't let you overshoot 4th and end up in neutral or reverse, thats what you're paying for. If you never shift the trans like that then yeah you'd just be buying it for the cool factor.

Actually there are only 3 buttons. Top one regulates the smoke screen, middle one drops oil slick, and the bottom one is subwoofer volume control.

The point of this is that you can just slam it from one gear to the next without worrying about overshooting and moving the stick more gears than you'd like. this, you can slam it as hard and as inaccurately as you want, and it'll just move one gear up or down.

Right, more tedious then, disengage clutch, put in gear, release clutch and accelerate. Repeat 3-5 times, and dozens of times to move 100 feet in traffic. Yeah you're right. Or do this, which is a manual with no clutch, and sitting in traffic just leave in first and roll as necessary.
