Hello ma'am Can you please guide me as to how to retain the natural green colour of beans?? Please. Normally all of us need to steam the beans and the taste is really mind blowing. Just add a couple of pinched of sugar... The color of the beans will be better retained.... You can do this sugar method for all preps in which you wanna retain color....

When to Add sugar You mean inspite of covering the beans to make it tender and edible,just by adding sugar it will be green even after covering it with a plate or lid?? Inspite of the covering it won't change the colour

@@priyankasethi5615 Hi Priyanka, once you add the beans to the masala, then sprinkle sugar over it. Dont cover it fully, put the stirring spoon/ ladle inside and then cover so that way a little gap will remain. Jab fully cover karte hain to sabziyon ka color phir kharaab ho jaata hai...
