you tapered the weights on the crank to slice the oil in the pan easier?
@SRDmotorsports2 жыл бұрын
Not totally taper but the surface refinish, polished to increase “oil shedding” Which in turn lessens oil cling on the rotating mass of a crank Good eye man!
@timm59702 жыл бұрын
@@SRDmotorsports It definitely looks polished but tapered as well. Can you make a sharp edge on the weight or will it remove too much material to keep the engine balanced? If the edge is sharp then in theory there should be less resistance when splashing into the oil making it easier to rev and increase horsepower? Never even thought of this stuff before lol
@SRDmotorsports2 жыл бұрын
@@timm5970 good thoughts right there and yeah there is enough material to shape it indeed Just quite time consuming 😂 On mine I didn’t do this cuz wasn’t willing to spend “extra”’on balancing Funny on how we sometimes (often) cheap out on personal stuff lol But since Jasper here was willing to have it dynamically balanced I figured it’s atleast harmless to do this :) but possibilities are better
