Hello Captain, Always a pleasure to discover a new video of your hand. You simply can not find this technique in books, and if you already found the explanation for this, it probably misses the target. You explained this very well. Of course, the student must also make the effort to study this too. some people want a simple statement to get it at a easy way, but that is not always possible. You invite people for this challenge . I admire your professionalism and want to thank you for the effort to share this. Now to me to see to what extent I can approach this in the FS. Something tells me that I know more and more what I do not know. Have a nice day and wish you for a lot of save landing. Kind regards from the Netherlands.

Hello G L, Thank you for your kind words, I really do appreciate it. FS with PMDG have made the simulation so real and flying the airplane in the simulator trying different things or practicing flows made learning the airplane easier. I am still utilizing FS to practice and try a lot of things. Thanks again for taking the time to leave a comment.

Thank you for let me know. Maybe consider Prepar3d. In my opinion it's better but nevertheless I'am a amateur. ;)

I agree FSX is becoming absolute, I have installed P3D but still trying to get PMDG addon and do all the settings. It took me a long time to get FSX setup right thats the only reason I am slow on the change to P3D.

Dear Captain, Can you explain again how to intercept the final axis....you speak about 352° with final axis at 342°,how do you find 10° before to turn... Thanks a lot for your great job and your modesty and simplicity..!!

Hello William, You want to set 10 degrees shy of the final course heading/RW heading, in the MCP, The RW heading in this example is 342 so we set 352, let’s say I was coming from the other direction “right base” so my base heading is going to be about 252 and when I turn to final instead of putting 342 I will set 332 in the heading. Let’s say the RW heading was 090, And am on a left base, heading on base is 180, base to final turn is going to be 100 If I was on right base for this RW, base heading 360, base to final 080 One thing to remember is to compensate for wind, I did not talk in the video about the wind effect in the example, Hope I answered your question, let me know if it make sense to you or if you have any other questions, All the best 🙏🏼 Abdul
