Reading the comments on these videos is sad. Either people know Elton, or they have absolutely no idea who he is. He was one of the greatest musicians of the 20th century, and certainly one of the greatest rock musicians in the history of the genre. His hits are classics, but his albums are masterpieces. A modern musical genius if there ever was one.

Superior stereo mix from the original magnetic tape elements. Elton really enjoyed doing this session on 21 March 1972. Filmed and recorded at Apple Studios, 3 Savile Row - London. Of course Marc sounds, and looks great, Ringo at his very best here...and Elton ? He elaborated later he thought he looked like a gorilla in the film ! I suppose Elton felt it wasn't too cool to try and upstage Marc, even though both gentleman were tit-for-tat glam wise at this very moment in time. It's Marc's film.

The Zemaitis was custom- built for Marc. He might have had others because I have a guitar book with a Zemaitis with "as played by Marc Bolan" but it looks different than the one in the video. The book has many errors in it anyway. I'm sure the guitar is owned by a Z collector or is in the Zemaitis museum in Japan. Z collectors are very tight- knit.
