I love that, "still gift wrapped" lol. My daughter was born in the hallway of our home. I only had a few minutes of pain in my shoulder blade TBH, so when my water broke I was shocked. (even more shocked when she was born under the sheet on the gurney on the way out of the house. 15 minutes start to finish lol). My Dr. did tell me that it wasn't the first time he'd heard of labor being or feeling like it was in the shoulder blade. Strange, I know.
@jenniferj2995
@jenniferj2995 6 жыл бұрын
Wow I've never heard of that happening either but you may just have a higher pain tolerance then others and with it being so quick you didnt have time to feel those longggg labor contractions. I'm by no means being rude or mean or saying you didn't really go thru labor lol I just want to make that clear bc sometimes ppl take things wrong over the internet bc they don't know you. I too had my baby in 17 mins. I was in the hospital and they broke my water and within 17 mins I was holding my first born who will be 16 next month:) Now my second daughter was a different story, 18 hours. It was very difficult but worth it:)

The mother was doing the right thing. Usually premature babies will be put in an incubator to get quite high concentration of oxygen, yet amniotic fluid will also almost do the same. Very well put fact though. Helps a lot to settle down my deep curiosity 😊

The Amniotic sac, for people that don't understand is that while the baby is still inside the mom they're in the sac as well basically, until the water breaks and if not while they're still traveling through the birth canal the amniotic sac might not break, causing this.

Just a little note, it’s en caul. As a midwife I’ve seen it a few times. If you deliver outside a hospital at full term. Popping the sac is absolutely fine. Anything after 37 weeks and baby is considered full term. Good luck 🤞🏻

Tamatoa Shiny oh it's a part of the sack attached to the face. It washes off nothing serious but it is said to be good luck . My mum who is past now said it was litterly like a wedding vail and my sister was angelic . 55 yrs ago medicine wasn't what it is today , she was born at 32 weeks and was one of the first 5 children in Australia to be given a shunt. She was born with hydrochephilous and spinabiffida . They said she'd never make it to 5 and if she did she would be a vegetable well she went on to have a baby and live a normal life xoxo

This happened to my sister with my nephew. The doctors had to break her water with a long plastic stick. But if they didn't break it, I assume from what they said, that my nephew would've been born still in the sack like this woman's baby. Child birth is really such an incredible thing to witness and watching a baby born like that is even more incredible.
@lisasallery7860
@lisasallery7860 2 жыл бұрын
Hi, I’m a midwife. And when we break waters it’s usually to speed up labour. Usually, the waters will break naturally as the baby descends down the vaginal canal. It’s supposed break just before birth to allow baby to be born in a clean environment. Amniotic fluid will cleanse the birth canal to prepare for baby

@lisasallery7860
@lisasallery7860 2 жыл бұрын
No this is not a dry labour. A dry labour is not officially a ‘thing’ but, it is usually called this if the woman’s amniotic sac ‘waters’ have broken a while before delivery. The amniotic sac is rather slippery and this is how some babies can be born like this. As a midwife I do hear the phrase ‘dry birth’ now and again. And that’s what it’s referring too!

Wow. This is so weird. I was born a home before my mother could get to the hospital still in the Amniotic Sac. I also never cried when I was born my dad and mom thought I was dead until they popped he sac and my dad gave me a tap on the butt and he said I made a umf like noise and then they knew I was alive.

When I gave birth to my son he was still in the sac but he was only twenty weeks unfortunately they couldn't do anything to save him so he died in my arms that night.

I was a home birth, and I’m still alive. I almost died because the umbilical cord was wrapped around my neck, but still here.

My friend had her daughter on the bathroom floor all alone bless her I walked in just after she come out and felt so bad i had not just been a few minutes earlier it must have been terrifying tho everything was fine they didn't even take her to the hospital. the midwife told her with her next child she would have to have a home delivery because she had been getting quicker with each pregnancy next time she wouldn't make it to the hospital either.
