So wonderful to watch. I think people drinking milk are not aware of what it means to the mother cow and her calf. So cruel to separate them, they could let them stay together for three month, but money is more important. It is fantastic how the male sheep know how to deal with the calf. We only have two dogs ,but they know excactly to be careful if a baby or a toddler is around. Or if it is our grandson ,who is 13 and likes to play quite rough with the dogs. So clever, even knowing when I feel sad. Thank you for sharing your lifevideo.

I milk my cows and some of their offspring go in the freezer to feed us. Not all cows are friendly, some are bullies, and steers grow far too large and would damage our pasture. Looking after your land is the most important thing when caring for animals, and overstocking is the worst thing you can do. I really do love my girls that I milk, and I also love caring for our future food in the best possible way with love and scratches (if they enjoy human interaction - not all do) and all the pasture they can eat. That may seem hard to understand but it's the truth. Humans created cattle - they are not a naturally occurring species and have no place in any natural ecosystem. If we don't use them for the purpose we created them for there will be no more cows. That would be a great shame. They are not backyard pets and require specialised equipment and knowledge to care for them properly.

@@jg5755 I don't doubt that you run your business with the best intentions but would you say that I love my dog when I exploited and slaughter them. Dogs are precious being but definitely not all, that also doesn't mean we can do horrible things to them. Cows and other farm animals can live in sanctuaries without being exploited and when demand drops over time farmers can stop breeding them. As people can be perfectly healthy without consuming animal products it's completely unnecessary and unethical to keep doing this.

They aren't always sweet and gentle. We've had 2 heifers that were bullies to the point that another heifer in the herd didn't grow. It seems strange to me too that they adopted a lone cow, keeping her isolated from a herd. That's not kind. That's not natural. Of course the poor calf is going to go looking for someone to play with! They should be part of a herd and he should have other calves to play with.

Sorry but No, that is not the answer. Do you realise that if people stopped drinking milk(and eating dairy products like cheese and icecream, etc) all the dairy cows would then be shipped to abattoirs to be processed for meat. There would be no reason for the farmers to continue their businesses! These animals exist because the farmers can make money from the sale of male calves and milk. They would not have been born without the dairy industry existing. What do you think would happen to the farmland if dairy farms were forced to close? @@jjradV I believe that some animals were for man to consume. It is how we get our protein, etc. Dairy is extremely important in our diets! I know I don’t like the thought of any animal being harmed, but the reality is we do need them for our survival! I will be at Smokey Bones Sunday for Father’s Day celebrations, and I feel totally fine with it! I hope I explained my feelings on the subject right! I understand others may disagree and that is fine! I personally don’t like killing animals for sport. I know they have deer season here in Indiana to help control the deer population. I don’t like it, but understand it is necessary! I love all animals and hate the idea of them ever hurting, but I do know we need them as a food source too! 🤗
