We are currently a small operating herd in sunny Yuma, Arizona, just three hours south-west of Phoenix, Arizona. It is my goal to ensure your experience is held to the highest standards. I personally devote my hard work, time, and money into providing customers with the best possible livestock we can create; I pride myself in raising healthy goats. My goats aren't just a business, they are family. They are fed the highest quality alfalfa hay and dairy grain we can buy. Our goats are all very friendly and have great temperaments. We only breed our girls once a year or less and are careful to make sure they are in excellent body condition for a healthy pregnancy and safe delivery. Currently enrolled in DHIA milk testing program O/S40 AR, attending ADGA sanctioned shows this 2021 summer. I am confident in the level of service you will receive when you purchase from DesertHardt.

I've only sold a few goats with papers, & most that are registered under my name reside in my herd. I want to make sure what I'm producing is worth it's value, & with that I intend to retain the valuable. I have two that aren't registered still and are freshening in a week, want to see that udder first.

I like the name show name Strike A Pose or Posey for the keeper Cou Blanc doeling because she looks so fancy. Maybe something like First Daughter (Dottie) for the buckskin doeling, since Cheyenne's show name is First Advantage? I looked up Cheyenne's show name so I tried to come up with suggestions that were similar in style

Here's Royal's fan again 😆 wow, i'd be surprised if she doesn't win any shows this year. The only fault I can think of is that maybe her udder capacity might be better? But then comparing it to Gracie's and Frankie's it still looked like it had better capacity. I'm also glad that her 2 boys survived. maybe you can pair her with another buck next year to get different results 🤔 Regardless.... you're doing an excellent job with kidding season this year and kudos for not selling kids as registered before proving their parents (even if you need the money 😅) 👏👏👏

I think that's 100% of the reason so many breeders sell registered on unproven stock....money. Definitely wish Royal gave me a doeling this season but it only now allows me to focus the energy on her. I'm hoping she stands a chance against the 2 year olds in her age class at shows that have two freshening's under their belt. Her capacity isn't stellar but it's by far better then the other FF's in milk so far. I'm #TeamRoyal myself to!

I don’t know why, but I’m liking names from mythology (because the sire’s name is Zeus lol). But some names I kind of came up with was like, Khione, (like from Flash), and Tempest. Mostly for the first little doeling. For the second doeling mostly, (obviously any names work for either) I came up with names like, Freya, Selene, Flora, Iris, and Nyx. Haha you’ll probably have to look up the names and meaning yourself if you don’t know what they mean already. I’m not good with full show names like you like to do. 😂 Stay awesome. ❤

Throughout the year of of owning goat - - what is the average percentage increase of milk production from a first to second freshner?

I’d say almost double, however it solely depends on how you managed that doe as a first freshener. I continued to milk my two FF’s last year for almost the full 305 days during milk testing. I set my does up to understand what’s asked of them and quite honestly pushed them to ensure their longevity.
