What a generous , creative and entirely loving thing you do - so thoughtfully choosing the items then ‘gift-wrapping’ them to further enrich their lives ,,, the edible treasures. You truly think of everything! And all that you do for them is done with the same level of detail and care one would do for a human child they loved.

I’ve always felt that Gimli’s real mama was the alpha, and he had received a lot of love and attention from his troop, and had formed a very strong bond with them. The way he immediately blossomed as soon as he found a mama and a family and that the alpha took him really makes me sure of that.

I hope you guys have a lot of Gimli footage because his story deserves a movie of its own. It is amazing that the same feisty little monkey jumping on the back of the big monkeys is the same that arrived afraid of life. Thanks to all of you for the work and care.

It is like little sad Gimli was replaced by a wild, energetic larger than life baby monkey. All the fosterings and integrations are miraculous in their own way but this particular story is truly heart warming. Many thanks for the amazing patience and love that everyone at the VMF demonstrates on a daily basis. Your manifestation of love makes the world a better place.

I’m so happy he has an alpha female mom, and that she isn’t one those who can be a bit of b*tch even to her kids. There are some alpha female monkeys who can just as aggressive as males and it’s kind scary to see that all primates have the emotions and intelligence to be petty, not just humans.

Absolutely amazing to watch Gimli, after all the withdrawn and depressed behaviors we have seen for months, now begin to play and to beg others to play with him. Watching his story one can understand why it takes so long sometimes, which I am sure increases the cost. I love listening to the vocalization though I know it is hard sometimes to get them recorded. I hope Gimli finds his right foster mom and foster troop, and lives a long, happy life.

I shared a video and a story about your foundation on my Facebook page. I don't have a ton of Facebook friends, but I thought it might not hurt. I wrote a pretty long post trying to explain the foundation, I hope I got everything right. If you get a chance, I would appreciate it if you would read through it to make sure I got everything right? If I need to correct something, I will be happy to do so or you may feel free to correct it in the comments. I know you are busy and may not have time to do so, I think I got the important stuff right. I also increased my monthly pledge, I wish I could do more. If I were still working I definitely would, but I have been disabled for 12 years now and this is the best I can do. I really believe in the work you are doing and I will support you and monkeys in way I can. Btw: Facebook name: Mary A. Galimberto. My profile pic is a brown and white dachshund.

@@VervetMonkey Do they really? I cannot tell you how badly your answer disappoints me. Surely you jest, considering they have constant forage plus two delivered meals daily! @Pooka All the monkeys care about is food, fornicating and sleeping. Food is number one priority and the best food is in the into cages. Everything else is secondary, that’s how nature works. It doesn’t care about humans feelings on how things run.
