Orangutans are by far the closest to human. Look how she teaches her baby but at the same time pushes her to walk & climb while is is protection the baby so it won't get hurt. Orangutans treat the babies with so much love & attention just like we do. Mom teaches the baby to walk with do much tenderness and love just like us. By far these apes are the best in the ape world. I love & admire orangutans. They're the greatest of them all. 😍😍❤️😀😂👍👍💕🤩💞

Yeah, they may be less genetically related to us than chimpanzees and bonobos, and even gorillas, but behaviorally speaking, they are in some ways more similar to us than the other apes.

Orangutans are the absolute best of the great apes! (My opinion anyway)

They are safe of course but what a sad and ugly place they live in. In their wild habitat they have trees, and nature is everywhere. What about this terrible noise in the back ground ? Well this comes from these humans visitors who have no respect and who never shut their mouths. This loving mum and her little sweet Popo deserve more silence. I hope the good Zoo keepers will soon realize that vital point, and will ask people to keep SILENCE when they stop nearby the orangutans place. Thank you for the staff who save these beautiful animals. We love you all 💜

Orangutans in zoos don't know their their natural habitat and couldn't survive there if released. They are descendants of orangutans caught in the wild decades ago when people didn't know or or really care much about animal welfare. I don't know this zoo and what this habitat looks like outside of these clips but it does seem to have an indoors enclosure where the orangutans can go to escape the humans if they want. That way it's their choice whether they want to be seen rather than forced to.

@Michelle GRU… I agree with you 100%. The human noise level is a problem with me too. I believe that their environment should be as close as possible to what their natural habitat would be. For the wild orangutan that’s inside them.

Orangutans are so funny. They can have the tiniest morsel in their mouths and they chew like it’s a mouth full. 🥴

I love Sumy and Popo. However, I feel really feel sorry for them. Their habitat is a mess and it appears that all they do is move around on the ground a lot and Mom needs to loose a little weight. There are very few swinging devises that I can see. Orangutan's in the wild move around up in the trees a lot and they get a lot of exercise. This zoo is gonna have health problems with her if they don't up their game and give them a better facility...suited just for the orangutans. That means off the ground and up … up... up. I would think that if the zoo really cares about their animals, and they want to provide a more natural habitat then they better get busy doing something and sooner than later.

I love them both as well but their enclosure is in bad shape. Momma looks really overweight. Their habitat (especially in the beginning shot) looks old and uncared for. And you're right, I almost never see them up in the air, and they should be climbing, not on the ground all the time. It's sad because they are so beautiful but the zoo doesn't seem to value their quality of life :(

Besides their surroundings, they separated Lily from Sume after Popo was born. She would be 8 and needs her mom to learn how to be a good mom. I asked why she wasn't with them and I didn't get an answer

There's only 4 orangutans at this facility, the dad, Eban, Sume, Lily and Popo
@nellieb94346 жыл бұрын
@@KLee-py4fe I wonder why they took Lily away when Sume had Popo? Lily like you said still would be learning from her Mom, but with her having Popo would teach Lily parenting skills. I never knew who the other orangutan was that is in the video's. I knew which one was the male because you can tell. The other female I never knew her name or the history with her. Thank you for telling me their name's and their history. With you telling me this, its really mind boggling why Lily would not be with Her Mom and baby sister. Im not sure if you follow Tama Zoo as well and know who's who? I think you do, that i have seen some of your posts. (If for some reason you don't just reply back here again and I will tell you who is who) At Tama zoo when Chappy had Api they kept Minpi with them so she could learn and see her Mom raising a baby and it in return teaches Minpi how to raise a baby cause she will soon be at the age where she will be able to have her own. Only problem there is they only have one (Stud- flanged) male named Boreno and he is Minpy's father.
@kristinelee81796 жыл бұрын
@@nellieb9434 I have followed them for quite some time. Borneo is actually the dad of all the youngsters, Minpi, Api, Riki and Loki. They do have another adult male, Que that I believe is older than Borneo. Minpi actually belongs to the Singapore Zoo because of a contract even though she was born at Tama. I haven't even seen a recent post of Lily and they are at the Ichikawa Zoo and Botanical gardens.
