The Z1-R project is back on the schedule and in this video, the carbs are installed and dialed in as close as needed for now (other carbs may be replacing these). Video #13.

Have you seen the conversions that are available to alter these to fuel injection? They use a programmable ecu. It’s beyond me but it’s intriguing

Great video, I can sadly see the day when these old 70's bikes are gathering dust in a museum, when the knowledge is no longer there, a modern bike dealer will not want to bother and frankly can't charge the labour hours to fart around with these classic relics.😢

The problem isnt just them standing in a museum its that people are turning neat. Restorable examples into cafe racers,rats,bobbers,choppers

Yea, except this one's already too modified for my liking. I'd have gone O-E-M with period correct mods, maybe... it already had a 4-1 exhaust stock, swap it out for a Kerker, jet it up and put pods on... maybe. It's more valuable bone stock though. Alas, it's not mine and I just do what I am told... most of the time. lol

How come rear shocks are mounted upside down?
@MotoRestoFL Жыл бұрын
@@marktaylor7115 they aren’t. You’ll notice the Hagan logo is upright. That is how Hagan said to install them. They were emphatic about it in fact.

Nice job on the carbs, I've also had problems with cheaper pod filters blocking the rear ports on the carbs when installed.

Try colour tuning for the air screws, it’s a world better than trying to listen for the audible sweet spot.

They are expensive. Perhaps when I get more channel income I can afford them. Thanks for the suggestion.
