It’s so nice to follow along with other gardeners in cold zones. There are so many zone 7 or 8 channels out there with videos talking about fall plantings and overwintering hardy annuals and they give me total zone envy sometimes. 😆

I have had great success in doing winter Sowing in plastic jugs....my nasturtiums are four in tall already, sweet Annie is doing well and I’ve never had success before with planting seeds......another zinnias...growing well out on the front porch......they didn’t mind the cold....... Have any tricks for growing Chinese Lanterns thou.....and poppies....from seeds?

Don’t grow Chinese lanterns, they are invasive. You will be pulling them out of the garden for years!

Poppies don't transplant well you should just direct sow them in the fall or early winter

What are "Hero" flowers?

They are the larger flowers, like sunflowers, peonies, or lilies. Whatever the most important flower is in the arrangement
