Wrong the uturn must giveway to all traffic including cars turning from the slip lane. This is for Victoria. I think the other states ate the same when a unturn is permitted.

Australian road rules are created by clinical idiots. Victorian Consolidated Regulations Rule 353(1) specifies that a driver is not required to give way to a pedestrian who is crossing the road that the driver is leaving. Rule 353(2) provides that a pedestrian who is only crossing a part of a road is considered to be crossing the road. (3A) *If the driver is turning left using a slip lane, the driver must give way to-* (a) any vehicle on the road the driver is entering, or turning right at the intersection into the road the driver is entering *(except a vehicle making a U-turn at the intersection);* and (b) any other vehicle or pedestrian on the slip lane.

In defence of that donkey, cities like to change the one-way streets all the time and not update the maps. You get a person who doesn’t know the city well following their most recently updated maps (which depending on the service can be years out of date), suddenly they’re rolling down a one-way street. That being said, if you are paying more attention to the map then the road signs, then you probably need at least a refresher driver course.

6:40 doing 75 in 70 is not speeding, especially that every car’s speedo shows ~3km higher than actual speed. So your speedo would have show almost 80 to be actually speeding. Some people need to know this as slamming brakes every time someone hits 1k over isn’t much safer at all.

FYI NO as its illegal to Uturn the slip road drivers do not have to give way , you cant enforce a rule while braking another , example a driver cant say a pedestrian didnt give way to them while running a red light :)

@@lward53 Hi actually no that's incorrect since this question came up in this video upon doing further checking on U turn at traffic light laws even where they are permitted the person doing the you turn must give way to all traffic and a slip road that is actually written in the law so even if you were doing a legal or illegal U turn you have to give way to the slip road traffic so in this case again the person the dashcam driver was not was not the one in the wrong :)

@@ScottsCarcameras Can i see any verification for that, My understanding is that you (Doing a u-turn) must give way to every car and pedestrian within the INTERSECTION. A slip lane is not considered part of the intersection. Thus the Give-way sign (Which means void to all traffic) loses.

Hi no ? on most motorways in the major cities where there are 3 or more lanes you enter and exit via the left lane , and then move to the middle lane to cruise until you reach your exit , if there is slow traffic or congestion you use the right lane to overtake then return to the middle lane , you leave the left lane open for traffic to enter or exit , and for slow vehicles etc crane, oversize load etc this increases traffic and speed and allows less lane changes which increases safety :)

In Europe you're a pariah if you just sit in those middle lanes all of the time, especially when the road is not even that busy and hardly anyone is entering or exiting.

hi Nathan so there’s no such thing as hogging of the middle lane that’s why the lane is there to use it doesn’t slowing people down it increases traffic flow by allowing the slower traffic to enter an exit in the left lane and therefore the traffic in the middle lane can maintain a cruising speed without it being having to slow down or speed up for other traffic ever road is not busy motorist is more than welcome to use the left lane but they may have to move out of it or altar their speed if traffic is entering or exiting the motorway so it’s more logical to stay in the middle lane and tell you were exiting there’s also reduces the amount of lane changes which reduces fuel consumption Road where in tire wear better for they environment, if they didn’t want you to use the middle lane as the cruise lane then they would remove it and only have two lane motorways forcing everyone to stay in the left lane and only had the right lane for overtaking they don’t they have additional lanes because they know the left lane is going to have a lot of in an out use and they therefore put other lines in for you to use as the cruise line simple logical common sense :-)
