Killers is Directed by Robert Luketic who’s other credits include The Ugly Truth, 21, Paranoia, Legally Blonde, And Monster In-law he’s one of the worst Directors
@bradwolf078 жыл бұрын
I looked on IMDB and found something I found hilarious in the trivia section... "While the picture had no shortage of action and suspense, director Robert Luketic believed the appeal of the film, and the lion's share of the comedy, lied in the thorny issue facing the couple. He said: "It's this great comedic situation where Jen is saying, 'You've got a lot of explaining to do' while they're running for their lives. And while they're on this adventure, the audience is wondering, 'Is this relationship going to last? Can it withstand the lie?'." There are plenty of gems there. Man this movie is terrible.
@gageperuti55196 жыл бұрын
Wow. Literally nothing in that statement is even close to being true. It's not action packed, it's not suspenseful, it's certainly not funny, and the main relationship is ruined by the writing and the performances. It's like Knight and Day, except garbage.

This movie contains one of my most hated tropes in all of cinema, a bit that absolutely kills any movie for me instantly. It's when two characters are pointing guns at each other. Nobody in the real world would ever do this. Ever. They treat it like it's some kind of stand-off, as if holding a gun on someone who also has a gun will somehow prevent them from shooting. It doesn't work like that. It encourages them to shoot, because when two people point guns at each other, the one who lives is the one who shoots first. The rest of the movie sucks too.

Like most spy movies, nothing in KILLERS is what it's supposed to be. The audience is supposed to eagerly wait for a woman Jen to find out that her husband Spence used to be a lethal spy... but instead, I was eagerly waiting for something funny to happen. Also, we're supposed to be seeing a great love (the kind that would make him leave his career for her), but Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl have no chemistry. I don't know if I should blame the script, the directing or Kutcher himself, but Spence is a contradictory character. In some scenes, he's very serious; in others, he talks like... well, every goofy character Kutcher has played. Either way, Kutcher bores when he's playing the cold assassin. Heigl's performance ranges from bland (during emotional scenes) to annoying. Tom Selleck isn’t even trying. It's revealed that Jen's dad hired the killers to protect her. So it was all a misunderstanding? A bunch of (probably good) people died for no reason?! You call that a happy ending?! 1/10
