Salt_ I personally do not find the Corey Baxer meme to be funny because it's just one joke. I mean you can paste Kyle Massey's head over a character from an anime, but it still stems from the fact that the meme is just "Hurr dee durrdy durr! Corey baxter iz beZt anime even d'oh it's not anime".

Rosie Dawson Yeah I don't get this hate. Just like sword art online.
@andrewcostello13737 жыл бұрын
He hate's Skyward Sword because of the motion controls being unresponsive. Like half of the Zelda fan base. And maybe it's linearity and long opening before you get to the first dungeon, backtracking, or the annoying companion Fi. I could care less about all that, I still like the game's story, art style, great soundtrack, the first real upgradeable equipment system in Zelda, interesting side quest, and fleshed out characters. Especially Zelda being more fleshed out than any previous Zelda and having an actual relationship with Link. And the fact that she actually has her own story to tell. I didn't have trouble with the motion controls (something could of been in the way of the sensor bar, it does mess up the calibration).

As an amateur programmer I gotta say that Scratch is garbage. it's limited, glitchy and people should stop using it. Get game maker 8/studio. it's closer to real programming and far more capable of making playable games.

Flash can be good, it just depends on how you use it, I guess. Although its memory handling is fucking useless.

John Squarez Our school MADE us use Scratch. I gotta say, everyone thought it was the shit. I was the only one who thought it was, like you said, limited, glitchy, etc. and I did not like it. Hell, most of the crap on there was just made by kids who have bad drawing skills and think it has the best programming. I swear, I was so limited on what to do, and I had no idea what to do most of the time. Why? Because all the options really seemed stupid as hell.

8:20 That's probably a joke game. The plot is from a Starbomb (Ninja Sex Party and Egoraptor) song and even some of those "right" answers are lyrics straight from the song. The fight was probably made unwinnable on purpose, because Link dies in the song as a joke. With the knowledge of it being a joke game, it doesn't look to bad I'll be honest.

There’s also a zelda flash game called “The Legend Of Zelda: The Lampshade Of No Real Significance”. Other than the fact that it essentially has NOTHING to do with zelda other than the cartoony art style and the fact that you play as Link, it’s more or less a scavenger hunt game, you just go around giving people things to get other things to give to other people so they can give you other things. The closest you get to a fight in the game is with a boss that’s literally a lamp that looks like a Zelda boss. “Gee! I wonder how to FUCKING beat it!” ~Arin “Egoraptor” Hanson 2014
@HughAverageHomoMan6 жыл бұрын
isn't the real joke of that flash game pretty obvious? a lot of Zelda games usually give you a quest or side quest that leads to nothing that isn't really useful or important.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention “Legend of Zelda: The Lampshade of No Real Significance”.
@tobiasbanks37437 жыл бұрын
Scratch isn't a "game engine". It's technically a programming language, but it has a GUI, so you drag and drop the few bits of code they give you to play around with and it's supposed to teach you how to program without having to do things from scratch (I'm sorry but that pun was just unavoidable). It is literally for children. This is like making a souffle with an easy bake oven. I'm not saying to go easy on Scratch, though. It's a great place to find weird shit! Also there are some really weirdly accomplished games that people make on Scratch for.. a challenge I guess? Like there's one 3D platformer that totally works using some weird trick with vectors or something. This game could have been made anywhere else in two seconds, but someone spent a huge amount of time trying to create some sort of weird pseudo-3D engine for this thing that just... shouldn't....

I'm pretty sure Scratch is just meant for little kids to get into programming. I've used it before and it's pretty much impossible to make something actually good, but I don't really think the point is to make something good, it's just to teach kids the basics of programming by using drag and drop commands to make crappy games. It's actually kinda fun to use since it's so easy. Doesn't mean the games are good or anything, but they're made by little kids trying to learn how to program, and I think that's a useful skill to start learning at a young age. The games are still shit tho.

the scratch engine itself is garbage i tried using it before and its a pain in the ass to do what you want. you cant speed up the animation of sprites they are limited to one frame a second. which is down right stupid. you cant type out programing i couldn't even put my own sound effects in i think. for those wanting to get into making games use game maker its so much better than scratch. file size is limited but if toby fox can make undertale with game maker then you can make good games with it.
